Compiling wine on debian-unstable amd64
Hi, I try to build wine-1.1.26 on debian unstable (amd64) linked to ia32 libs. I installed ia32-apt-get and nvidia-glx-ia32 and all ia32-lib*, which are buildependencies for wine-1.1.23 in experimental on i386. The configure ends successfully but the build finished with gcc -m32 -c -I. -I. -I../../include -I../../include -D__WINESRC__ -D_NTSYSTEM_ -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -Wall -pipe

Wine 1.2-rc?, nVidia, and WoW 3.3.5 Problems
Forwarding to list. One of my concerns is that we don't direct users to scan the forum entries before they post. This is just one example of 'me too' messages in a series. And the maddening thing is that folks like Jim below, don't have the problem. Several 'fixes' have been posted to work around what originally appears to be brokenness in Wine, starting about 1.1.44,

Wow, patching and installing wine
Hi! Everything is running fine on my machine, but yesterday, I came across one interesting question concerning World of Warcraft: The next patch for wow from Blizzard is certainly coming. Now, I know that there is a patch for wine to be able to install WoW correctly, but this patch seems to be related to the WoW patch. My question is: Do I have to compile wine again when a new wine-patch is

Questions when running WOW and other games in frames.
I have a numbers of questions. I know about half of them are probably program related (World of Warcraft) but I figured I'd group them together for the most part. First the states. I'm using a Dell Inspiron Laptop (their Ubuntu line). I reinstalled Linux myself (had to redo the partitions) and dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 7, Wow does work under Windows 7, but what's the fun in

Ubuntu + Wine = Can't See My WoW :(
Hello all, I've been struggling for a while now to get World of Warcraft running under wine, and there's lots of helpful information out there, but nothing seems to address the particular problem that I am having. Rather than try to explain it to you, it would be easier just to show you a screenshot: http://www.maj.com/gallery/servo/00-BitBucket/wow-opengl.png In a nutshell, the

WoW, and most other games, do not run under Wine.
I've recently installed Wine onto my ubuntu intrepid ibex box and I'm having endless issues when it comes to running games. Right now, I'm specifically trying to play World of Warcraft and I am receiving graphical issues that cause the game to be unplayable. These bugs are widespread and i cannot see anything in the game's window. The laptop is running on an Intel GMA965Q. I've

EULA won't let me agree when installing WoW via wine.
Trying to install World of Warcraft on ubuntu 8.10, with the most recent version of wine, and I get to the end user license agreement, scroll all the way down, and I can't click agree on it to continue with installation. I'm using the download game client feature from my account on WorldofWarcraft.com, not the game CD's because I have a broken CD drive. If that helps any.

Wine & Wow
I'm experiencing problems with World of Warcraft. There two issues; First one is mouse lag on game. I found that "hardware cursor" can solve this problem. This is not so important. Second problem is the important one. When i start game, after playing like 2 minutes the frame rate decreases to ~0.1 frame per second. This means a huge lag is happening. This continues for at least 15

Ubuntu Hardy + Wine + WoW = corrupted graphics
Hello all, I've got a laptop w/ an "Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML" graphics card (I know, Intel sucks) running Ubuntu Hardy and Wine 0.9.61~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1. I've had problems getting World of Warcraft to run under wine before, so when I upgraded to Hardy I thought I would try it again. At least in the past I could run WoW using the built-in d3d
