Under wine, iInvoking bbtrx1.exe ... the Pegasus control program brings a zero response ... the icon flashes for a while ... and then stops. 3. Invoking grig ... a linux based rig control program (without wine) ... and

Serial Port Access Under Wine
I have asked this before, but has anyone successfully used serial port /dev/ttyS0 under wine? I am trying to run a windows program for controlling an amateur radio - a 'tentec pegasus'. My linux is a debian derivative ... sidux ... and I have installed wine from the sid repositories. The program runs ... and displays a radio dial which looks correct. However, because I cannot

starting exes with wine
I'm running Sidux distro and Wine 1.0-RC2. When I right clicked on an exe file it showed me an option to launch the file using wine. That feature is now gone and even double-clicking does not work but instead sidux/KDE offers me to choose a program for opening the file. Now I want to re-enable the context menu feature or at least let wine open exes by double-clicking. Thanks

unkillable imap process(es) with high CPU-usage
Hello, I am having a problem with my dovecot-daemon. It is forking one or more (I saw up to perhaps 8 of them) imap processes under my user name. These processes are consuming a lot of CPU time and are not killable: > PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND > 8616 arno 20 0 2900 1600 1204 R 98 0.2 1196:38 imap Stopping dovecot does not quit these

NFS and Firewall
Hi Folks, I'm using VMWare on a Linux Host (CentOS) with a Linux-Guest Sidux). And I'd like to use NFS. Furthermore I'd like to use the Firewall in CentOS with this little GUI. If I activate this firewall then my Guest says "no route to host" on mounting nfs. Firewall disabled -> no problem occurs. Is there a solution to use firewall _and_ nfs ? Please, no iptables

[PATCH] nv50/ir: don't touch degree on physreg RIG nodes
These nodes don't go through reduction, so we shouldn't be increasing their degrees. Bugzilla: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91895 Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> Cc: "11.0 11.1" <mesa-stable at lists.freedesktop.org> --- I would like to see a *bunch* of testing on this before merging it... RA-land is far from my expertise.

Lin/Win desktop/games rig with PEG pass-through
Hi all, I''m planning a rig that has SuSE linux in Dom0 and Windows7 in a DomU with the PCIe video card passed through to the Win7-U and an AMD system''s onboard video for the Linux system. Choose Ldap authentification, Ldap-Properties fill in your Ldap-Server = and Search-Base. Copy the files from the old server to the new with rsync. Stop samba/ldap on the old server Start ldap start samba on the new. And you are running. In my case I moved my samba from an old sidux to viruell centos5.5 on windows 2008 Server. =20 ----------------------------------------------- EDV Daniel

Com1 Setup in Wine (Windows)
Where does wine setup the com ports?? Maybe I can't access the port because winme has not set it up correctly? I have the symbolic link in dosdevices, and I am already a member of dialup and uucp ... so that should be right ... IF wine has the comport setup correct. Still looking to control my rig through my ONLY com port. Richard -- -- Irena & Richard Jenkins Canberra, AUSTRALIA

This is my first time using WINE and really I'm a Linux newbie, an I've been using it for like maybe week and have gotten into it a bit, but this one kind of stumps me. /dev/ttyS0 - COM1 problem
Hello, I'm trying to run my weather station (Davis WMII) on wine 0-9-58 and OpenSuSe 10.3. After installation of WeatherLink 5.7.1, I try to communicate via COM1 but the program can't find it and even not test with a loop plug in COM1. I have changed the mode to 0777 for the serial devices in /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules and rebooted. /home/sel/.wine/dosdevices reveal that

Communications program (SuperVoice) and serial port modem (COM1 etc?)
Hi, I've installed SuperVoice 2.6 in Wine in order to use a serial port modem (USR 56K Message Modem) for tel/fax message handling (I've previously used it in Windows 2K). It seems to work OK up to a point - trouble is I don't know how to get it to access the modem! Probably a daft question, but how do I do that in linux (RH9)? - I'm still thinking a bit in MS Windows terms!
