However, I am now reading that 192.168.x.x is the preferred naming convention. If I leave as 66.2.x.x will I have problems with Samba? Because I dont connect to the Internet do I need to change? After updating to centos 4.3, I notice a failure in terminating irqbalance whenever i shutdown the system. Checking the services after the system reboot i see the error in irqbalance: "irqbalance dead but subsys locked" Can anyone tell me what irqbalance is and if it safe to disable it ?
