Running Half-Life CS in FreeBSD via wine20021219
I've seen some issues like this on a few other programs. I've solved
these by verifying that the "wine" group is still listed as the group
owner of all of the files in your fake "C" drive (in this case, it looks
like /usr/local/lib/wine). Since this program is being executed by
wine, wine needs to have permissions to it. (A quick way to verify this
is to do a chgrp

counterstrike and wine -- sound problem
Hi,
I've managed to run counterstrike under wine, at 1024 with opengl (cool!
and it runs pretty fast!), but there is only sound at the menu. When i
start the game, there is no sound at all. When I get back to the menu
and click on the buttons, it sounds strange. If i restart wine, the
sound is OK again, until i start the game.
I'm running wine under Redhat 7, with KDE and Xfree86

wine freeze by clicking in "input-field"
Hello
Im trying to use a special program ("afsfakt") for my company
with wine.
The program starts and works good
but if I click with my mouse into a "input-field" wine is
freezing. In this moment the CPU is going up to 100% - wine
takes it all. Only a winserver -k stops it. Wine shows no
error in this moment.
Navigation with the Keybord ist ok. Clicking on Buttons etc.
is ok.

Wine Errors
Ok, I am running Redhat Linux 7.1 on my second hard drive, on my main hard
drive I have windows 98 second edition. So, in the console I type:
mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /disks/c
and I got my Drive C in my wine config set to the appropriate directory. So
I browse to /disks/c in the console and type:
wine program.exe
And the following error comes up:

Preventing Wine from creating shortcuts
Hey, I'm new to the forums but by no means a noob
but it's come to the point lately where I'm creating scripts (bash mixed with autoit) where I create a new bottle, silently install the program and then do any fixes etc in the script making it all completely automated (as i tend to re-install my system a lot)
The issue I'm having though is the shortcuts wine creates

Font anti-aliasing in wine?
One of the things that DOES make a big difference for me is font-antialiasing (AA). (OK, maybe I am picky). Does anyone have experience/knowledge on that subject?
What surprises me is that for a few fonts (BitStream Vera Sans, for instance), it is active, whereas it is completely absent for most others. Why is that? (BTW, I just found out that I get the best results so far for the new MS font
