Is Winhlp32.exe supposed to work or not?
I anybody using winhlp32.exe with Wine? I am using wine-20020327 without Windows. I have copied winhlp32.exe to wine-c/windows directory and try to start the program there. When I try to run "wine winhlp32.exe" it opens a window and immediately closes it. So far I have tried Win95, Win98 and Win2k versions of winhlp32.exe with the same result. Jarkko Lavinen

Wine Hides On-board RAM
I have recently noticed an unusual side-effect of running Wine. When I first start up my system, /proc/meminfo reports MemTotal as 256892 kb. After running Wine for awhile, /proc/meminfo reports MemTotal as 32680 kb. The system performs as if it only had 32 MB of RAM. A reboot of the system resets total memory to the proper value. My question is: 1) Has anybody else encountered this? 2)

ipw2200 Stats MT in /proc/net/wireless
In 5100 and 1100 series Inspirons Intel 2915abg cards work MUCH cooler than the original Broadcoms, don't choke up in hot weather like the original Dell cards and don't require ndiswrapper. (All of 2 Notebooks were tested outdoors at 98 deg F ambient. Dropouts occured in both Centos 4.4 & XP on these dual boot notebooks with the Dell Mini-PCI's, none with 2915's). The only

implementing MovieClip drawing API
Hi, I would like to implement MovieClip.{moveTo,lineTo,lineStyle}. I initially thought I could place an SwfdecShape inside an SwfdecSpriteMovie created by createEmptyMovieClip then call swfdec_shape_ counterparts when MovieClip.{moveTo,lineTo,lineStyle} were called. It wasn't as easy as I had thought. All the functions are highly tied to swf bitstream, even adding an SwfdecShapeMovie to

xfig device
Hi, I am VERY interested in getting the xfig driver so that I can edit graphical output from R. Searching through the mail archives and reading documentation isn't helping. Is there or isn't there a working driver for this purpose. How can I get it? I tried looking at the development version of the tarballs, but I didn't find anything that looked promising in there. Also, does

pattern on bars?
Colors are real nice, but the publication I'm preparing these barplots for permits only black and white. The Splus plot options ``dbangle'' (or plain ``angle'') and ``density'' (as on p. 65 of MASS 1st ed.) don't seem to be available in R. Is there another way to do this? I'm running R 1.1.0 on Linux (intel). Thanks.

grImport symbols
Dear list, I have two questions regarding grid.symbols() in the grImport package. This package allows you to import a vector graphic in R, and grid.symbols() can be used to plot the resulting glyph at arbitrary locations in a grid viewport. I have tried the code in the grImport vignette, which is most interesting, however I am stuck with two problems: 1- Is there a possibility to create a

Login Failure
Greetings. Is there something up with Samba and RedHat, or with recent kernels, or with some packages that have been updated recently? A lot of us seem to see the same login errors with samba and I have yet to get my windows clients to login to my new samba server. The log messages really don't help. I had an old server running Samba 2.0.7 (RedHat 5.0 upgraded to nearly 5.2 with 2.0.33).

Saving Trellis Graphics in R 1.9.0. (PR#6915)
Full_Name: Zdenek Valenta Version: 1.9.0. OS: Windows XP Submission from: (NULL) (147.231.7.250) I could not copy/save (Trelis) graphics using R version 1.9.0. Extreme value distributions (Long.)
This may not actually be an R/Splus problem, but it started off that way ..... ===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+=== Executive summary: ================== Simulations involving extreme value distributions seem to ``work'' when the underlying distribution is exponential(1) or exponential(2) == chi-squared_2, but NOT when the underlying distribution is

Connection reset by peer
Hi, I run Samba 2.0.5a on Linux 2.2.12 (Slackware). My clients get an error regularly (Windows95) "Network path not found" and then they lose their connection completely. Port based VLAN Switch + tc + routing troube
Hello, I have a little strange config. I will try to explain it as short as possible. I have ethernet switch, which is Port Based VLAN enabled. For example: this switch have 3 ports. Port 1 is VLAN 1 only. Port 2 is VLAN 2 only. Port 3 is VLAN 1 and 2. This means that if packet come from Port 1 it will be sent ONLY to port 3. If packet come from Port 2 it again will be sent to Port 3 only.

Suggestion on Network Management software with troubleticket system
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, I'm looking for a network management software. And as the network grows it clearly becomes that manual notes is getting too tedious. Also an integrated troube ticketing systemm would be great. Any reference is really appreciated. some patches for swfdec
Here are some patches I made yesterday. They add three actions: duplicateClip, removeClip and With, one method Math.abs and bug fixes. All base off 'as' branch. Please have a look if you are going to apply them because I'm quite new in swfdec development. BTW, how can I implement createEmptyMovieClip? I have no idea how to create an SwfdecMovie properly. I also need to add the
