Newbie: IE5.5
howdy,
i am very new to WINE and have looked around for some docs on howto get
IE5.5 running, but can't seem to find anything straight foward. i just
installed RH7.2, and am running Ximian GNOME, without a Windows partition.
WINE is apparently installed by default with RH7.2. i tried the simple
'archnid' (solitaire) program and seemed to work ok. however, i have the
IE5.5 executable,

Low speed of running win-application under Wine
Hi All,
It is normal that Windows applications run _very_ slow
under Wine? I'm talking about simple application, like

My system:
FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE
RAM 128M
CPU Celeron 466MHz
Wine wine-2001.08.24

Everything I run from TWM (manager which is run by startx).

Internet Explorer 5.5
Hi.
I try to run Internet Explorer 5.5
I am using native dlls for shlwapi.dll and comctl32.dll
Internet Explorer is working but I can not enter a URL.
There is no address-bar.
I tried to run the 'normal' Explorer - there is no address-bar, too.
Any Ideas?
Should I try an other version of IE?

Possible VFS KPI and KBI breakage on stable/7
There are three sets of changes that would benefit stable/7.
Namely, there are
1. Improvements for the UFS unmount or rw->ro remount, that perform
suspension during the operation.
The changes depend on the the suspension mechanism path,
that introduced the suspension owner, and added new VFS OP
into the mount method table.
This might also fix the hangs with gjournal or

KPI Games
Knowledge Probe Inc. makes some very nice math and word puzzle games. These
worked a while back in WINE but not recently. (A lot of that going around,
even now going to beta!).
I do not have their URL handy. They all fail with unregestered objects.
Problematic in the past but not fatal was their trying to check for new games
on line. I have never had such work with WINE.

[PATCH 0/5] Fix deadlock on runtime suspend in DRM drivers
Hi
I've not been able to reproduce the original problem you're trying to
solve on amdgpu thats with or without your patch set and the above
"trigger" too
Is anything else required to trigger it, I started multiple DRI_PRIME
glxgears, in parallel, serial waiting the 12 seconds and serial within
the 12 seconds and I couldn't reproduce it

This is precisely what I am trying to achieve - but in order to do so I
need to be able to run multiple instances of smbd which until today wasn't
working -

[PATCH v2] drm: Allow determining if current task is output poll worker
Introduce a helper to determine if the current task is an output poll
worker.
This allows us to fix a long-standing deadlock in several DRM drivers
wherein the ->runtime_suspend callback waits for the output poll worker
to finish and the worker in turn calls a ->detect callback which waits
for runtime suspend to finish. The ->detect callback is invoked from
multiple call sites and

[PATCH v2 0/3] drm/nouveau: Fix runtime PM leaks
This is the latest version of
https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/45862/ . One new patch has been
added that also addresses some additional issues I found with
pmops_runtime_idle that would stop nouveau from suspending the GPU when
running under X.
Additionally,
"drm/nouveau: Fix runtime PM leak in nv50_disp_atomic_commit()" has had
it's CC to stable removed.

With a bunch of fixes to the new fb_helper to prevent it from breaking
module loading/unloading with nouveau. Also; lots of documentation
fixes and one fix in response to a kbuild bot.
