intermittent scrollbar behavior
I'm using Codeweavers Wine Preview 4 under Mandrake 8.0 to run Forte Agent. At
first everything works fine. But after a while, particularly if it's the second
or later time I've run it since booting the system, I find that I can no longer
scroll a window by holding the mouse button down on one of the arrow buttons at
the end of the scrollbar. That is to say, clicking on the button

Damn itcl to hell.
Hi,
Sorry to bug people with this what must be a very trivial question. I've got
a Mandrake 8.0 installation and have been trying in vain to get CodeWeavers
Wine (preview #3) installed. I've downloaded and installed the 'blessed'
version of itcl from the CodeWeaver's website (itcl-8.3.2-7mdk.i586.rpm) and
am still getting the itcl not found error when I try to run winesetup.

Agent 3.3 on Linux?
I dual boot WinXP and Fedora Linux and would like to run Agent 3.3 when
I boot to Fedora. Has anyone successfully installed WINE (codeweavers?)
on Linux and gotten the current Agent to function? What has your
experience been? What problems have you encountered?
I've seen very little discussion in the newsgroup. The web page that
Mark Prince pointed to a few years ago is no longer active:

Multiple user application - won't work
Hi.
I've installed the Windows-game, Caesar 3, through WINE. I installed it as
the user pingvin and everything runs just fine. But then if I switch to any
other user and configure WINE to fit them, and then try to run Caesar 3 - it
doesn't work.
I use Codeweavers WINE preview 3, the users config-files is in ~/.wine, my
Wine directory is in /usr/local/wine and I have done the chmod -R

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Microsoft Home Publishing - 'file could not be opened'
I have managed to run Microsoft Home Publishing with Codeweavers Preview 6 on mandrake 8.2, using my existing Windows installation. It loads and diplays Ok, I can get the help info and previews pop up for project templates. All seems well until I try to open a template, a recent project or any .php file from a directory. In the first two instances I get a box saying the file could not be

Abiword as test of Wine
One problem with Wine has been that there were few
serious open source win32 applications out there to
test Wine with (ok, maybe my opinions are from 1997 :-)
In any case, we have some great open source Win32 applications
to test with. AbiWord is one.
I just tried installing AbiWord 0.9 under the latest
Codeweavers preview. The install worked -- but generated

Updating Starcraft?
I'm having a little trouble with trying to install newer versions of
Starcraft (updates or Brood War) on a win-free Wine installation. I can
run the installer off the original Starcraft CD, and it puts all of the
files in the right place, adds a couple registry entries, and then chokes
on creating the entries in the Start Menu. Still, I can kill the process
at that point, and I have a usable

codeweavers-wine:itcl problem
codeweavers-wine-20010112-1 hung during install (rpm) at
the creation of KDE/Gnome menus; since I don't use either,
I thought, no prob and ran winesetup from Blackbox.
I skipped re-making the links on starting winesetup and
went right for the configuration. which also failed. This
is the message it generated:

Sun Forte 6 Update 2 Compiler Issues Resolved!
Hello,
If you are attempting to compile OpenSSH with the Sun Forte 6 Update 2 compiler on Solaris 8 (Solaris 8 7/01 s28s_u5wos_08 SPARC) then spare yourself the madness and make sure you have the following patches:
111685-02 C++ 5.3: Patch for Forte Developer 6 Update 2 C++ compiler
and
111678-04 Compiler Common 6.2: Patch Forte Developer 6 Update 2, C++ F77

Wine & openGL
I have Codeweavers-wine installed and working. I'm able to run Lotus

Half-Life and it does run, but only with software rendering. I have an
nVidia Gforce GTX(?) and my openGL works for linux games. How do I get
wine to use openGL. I modified the codeweavers source rpm to enable
openGL but something still seems to be

winesetup
Hello!
I have just compiled and installed wine-2001-07-31 (from tar.gzipped
source) and it works fine.
But I cannot find the winesetup programm which makes setup much more
comfortable. I am new to wine; I've used rpm-package on a different system
where winesetup was automatically installed.
Is winesetup not part of wine-2001-07-31? Or do I have it and just did not
install it? Where can

Code change required in x11drv keyboard driver
aAHello all. I know I'm technically a wine newby (having only just
installed the codeweavers preview 2) but I have a code change request.
Deep within the file ~/windows/x11drv/keyboard.c in the function
X11DRV_ToUnicode is the comment 'More areas where X11 returns characters
but Windows does not CTRL + number or CTRL + symbol'.
Whilst this is a reasonable assumption, this is in

Codeweavers vs. RedHat distribution?
I am using the version of wine that came with RedHat 7.2. I just noticed
that Codeweavers has their own distribution of wine that includes what looks
like a convenient setup configuration utility. What are the pros and cons of
uninstalling what I got from RedHat and downloading and installing the rpm
from Codeweavers?
Thanks
