directX
Does the current CVS version of wine have the transgaming directX patch already in it? I'm pretty sure that I've installed wine correctly. I installed the most recent RPM available, and the Diablo II installer says that it can't find direct X. I then downloaded the tar-ball, and tried to run the transgaming patch on it, and it said that it had already been run. That's not so

more on Diablo II (wierd problem)
Ok, I do have Diablo II working, mostly. At the moment, it only works under TWM (not fvwm which is what I normally use) and only in -win mode. The problem is that the first time that my mouse leaves the diablo window, diablo iconifies. Not a major issue, I just have to make sure that it's before I start playing. HOWEVER, after it's de-iconified, the keyboard get's somewhat screwy. I

more on Diablo II
Well, as for the keyboard issue, I've come up with what sounds like an easy work-around. Since its now possible to get LOD working, and LOD works in 800x600 mode, DXgrab should be irrelevant. Just set your display to 800x600 (I'll probably make a script hack that swaps two XFree86 files) and play everything in 800x600. Your mouse will never leave the screen, and you will never lose

Diablo II Patch
I',ve got Diablo II installed in Wine, and the LOD expansion. I'm trying get the new 1.09 patch installed. When it runs, it complains that it can't find Bnclient.dll. This file is in that directory. Does anyone know why it wouldn't be able to find the file? I've tried it as root, so it isn't a permissions issue, and I've tried it with various capitalizations. Has

Do the developers of wine get royalties or developement support from cross over office and transgaming companies
I would like to know if wine developers (well team) receives royalties or support from transgaming and cross over office creators. Because I am disgusted that the Wine creators spent so much time and effort and hard work into their creation with good intension's whilst transgaming and cross over office developers use there system to profit on things that are a necessity rather than just being

Subtle changes after installing Transgaming Patch
I have been running the 20010112 version of wine with "Agent" in order to read all my mail and news. This seemed to work fine. In order to try and get a game (Grand Prix Legends) to work I have installed the Transgaming patch, which including patching wine to the 29th Jan version. Since that time, some subtle changes seems to have occurred. These are a) Previously wine had been

New TransGaming Patch
This worked with: Wine CVS from Jan 29th + Transgaming patch XFree 4.0.2 NVidia drivers 0.9.6 Had to turn off DGA, and force wine to manage created windows, otherwise I get a glXMakeCurrent error when it tries to set the current GLX rendering context. The frame rate isn't quite windows, but the demo is certainly playable. Good luck, Dan "Chris Howells"

Hi! I have patched the latest CVS-sources of wine with the TransGaming patch. Now it doesn't compile anymore. Seems to be a problem with MESA. I have attached an error log. I have installed NVIDIA_GLX 0.96 and the mesadev 3.2. Transgamings patch - install
How do I install the DirectX-patch from Transgaming? I run the Wine that came with Mandrake 7.2. I've tried to run the patches in all the folders that has something to do with wine. running an old build of wine?
I've noticed lots of people posting to this board running ancient versions of wine. Upgrading or replacing wine is easy..but I know some of you are slighty afraid of messing what you got set up already. There are current binaries, rpms, and source here http://www.winehq.com/download.shtml I recommend getting the CVS snapshot rpm (the one on top) or to just use cvs to get the source

games is pretty much in its infancy at this point so I hope to see that grow in the future. My first question as I looked around was wondering whether gaming apps that were in there had been checked were checked in Crossover Games or Crossover Office? Maybe I missed it. I don't know yet. Anyway, I am really happy to see a second path for Windows gamers in Linux. That's not really me
