But there are some things which i'm not happy about: 1) Sound lags about 1 sec after the game, EAX doesn't work. 2) Some fonts don't get found (which messes up the scoreboard). Hi all, I got Half-Life installed successfully (yeah! :) and I can launch it, too. Next I set up some settings, e.g. cd key, video mode etc. But HL doesn't save these values. Next time I start HL, I'm asked again for the cd key etc. I think that's a problem with the registry. But I don't know which trees to edit to save this stuff. Any hints? Thanks, Tilman

When I run half-life under Codeweavers Wine, it says it cannot validate the cd. I tried cracking it under windows 4 times with different cracks, and they work under windows, but in wine it says my executable has been edited. When I had just plain wine that came iwth mydistro (suse 7.2), it worked fine. I have no idea what to do and what is causing this. Thanks! Matt
