cannot find libntdll.so
Sorry to bug everyone. I can't find the messages about this one any more.
I have had wine running in the past but currently it gives me the error
about being unable to find libntdll.so (wine: error in loading shared
libraries: libntdll.so: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory).
I had codeweavers 20010305 installed and our application sort of running

Troubles with XFree86-4.10 and sound
Hi,
I recently posted a success story (Steel Panthers).
Well, now it's not working :(
I updated the WINE version to 20010630 (from 20010510) and the XFree86
version 4.10 (from 4.03).
Well, now it says that I have no sound (one application says that maybe
will not work because there's no soundcard). And the game does not
woork anymore (it uses DirectSraw, AFAIK, to paint a 800x600

Am I attempting the impossible?
Hi all,
After Googling around a while, I've found bits and pieces of my
puzzle, but never someone who's got the whole thing. Here's what I'm
trying:
- Run MS Access 97 and MYOB
- Under FreeBSD 5.3
- With multiple simultaneous users (X Terminals)
Access 97 and MYOB are the only Windows programs we'll need to run,
everything else will be done with "native"

Codeweavers install problem.
Hi... trying to install Codeweavers-wine-20010305, which is the latest
stable build I understand.
It configures and then informs me that it'll compile but that building
without the Xpm development files won't work. Sure enough... they were
right...<grin>
So I go get the latest Xpm stuff and they turn out to be libxpm4-3.4 and
libxpm4-devel-3.4. Got them in .src.rpm and

ntdll error msg
Hello,
I'm a newbie to wine. I've installed
codeweavers-wine-20010305-1.i386.rpm to Redhat Linux 6.2; Windows
version is win98.
I've tested the wine install and can run sol.exe, micrsoft office apps,
and a Pegasus Email client just fine.
The main purpose of installing wine is to run an EDI windows client
server application - Gentran Server 5.2.1.04. I need the Gentran

could not exec wineserver
When I try to execute:
wine "sol.exe"
it gives this error:
-----
wine: could not exec wineserver
-----
My system is:
SuSE 7.0 (if I'tm not mistaken: glibc 2.1?)
codeweavers-wine-20010305-1.i386.rpm
itcl-3.1.0-79.i386.rpm
win98 on other partition
I already added /opt/wine/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf; this solved a previous
problem.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

Renaming of Program Files folder
Has anybody else experienced a problem with Wine renaming the Windows
Program Files folder to !$!$!$!$.pfr and (seemingly) creating another
empty copy of Program Files elsewhere. I have experienced this problem
twice while running two different versions of Wine (the last one
CodeWeavers 20010305-1). Naturally, Windows takes exception to this and
won't run.
The information I have is :-

for netapi32.dll and netbios.dll first...copied those from a win98 PC
with no problems) and then when I start entering the information to
set up the terminal config, it crashes with the

Invalid property value
I have a Windows application that I would like to have running on Linux
as it is my platform of choice. This application is a proprietary Visual
Basic program. It's name is crisscross real-estate. Using the latest
codeweavers-wine I was able to install it on a pre-install windows
directory layout and the application is behaving very well except that
in at one point in the program I get an
