irq 9: nobody cared(try booting with the "irqpoll" option)
Hi
I am getting the error : irq 9: nobody cared(try booting with the "irqpoll"
option) before a kernel panic and the server reboots. Fresh installation of
CentOS 5.1. I selected the virtualisation option for install and was
presented with the xen kernel upon reboot. however the error mentioned
comes up. The non-xen kernel works fine. I''ve googled and its seems a

Unplugging DVI causes Disabling IRQ #11
I have some new PC hardware I'm using with the Intel H67 chipset. I
created a bzImage I use for a PXE environment for a recovery mode,
installing OS images, etc. The new mobo doesn't have a VGA port but
instead DVI.
Everytime I unplug the DVI cable it seems to cause "Disabling IRQ
#11". After that the PC is basically unusable. The /proc/interrupts
shows that hdd, usb, nic,

CentOS 5 ssloooowww when network unavailable
This is undoubtedly an upstream issue, but ...
I've been messing about with that hp pavilion trying to get wireless
working. If I boot with the eth0 NIC plugged in, everything is
blazingly fast -- GDM comes up in a few seconds, the Gnome startup
splash screen barely has time to appear before it's gone again, shells
pop up the instant I click Open Terminal.
If I unplug the network and

redirecting traffic using iptables
Hi.
I have two internet connections, the ADSL2+ is very
very cheap (but fast 10mb) and I want to use the SHDSL (2mb)
only for mail, ssh, http OUT and the ADSL2+ only for
surfing.
I all works fine if people specify the proxy in the
browser, but in case like flash it of no use.
Further if I can make the 80/443 traffic go through
the proxy only, its an added bonus. If this can be
done, fine. Bue I

Installation on Intel DH67BL motherboard failed
Hello all
I tried to install Centos 6 on Intel DH67BL motherboard with i7-2600
processor and a PCI Parallel/Serial port Card. This machine is running Win7,
Ubuntu & Fedora 15.
Booting from DVD, the machine boots up in text mode & loads vmlinuz and then
the screen goes grey. Pressing a keyboard key does some dvd/hdd activity, so
the machine is not hung. So the issue is obviously the

Wierd cursor jump when I type letter "y"
Guys. I have this problem for a long time.
In large number of times when I type letter "y", like in "you" my typing
cursor jumps 2-3 rows up or 1-2 words to the left.
I am unable to understand why. Could it be something with lap-top
keyboard? Typing rate?
CentOS 5.5 Gnome, I mostly use Firefox and Thunderbird.

Differences between Versions 1 and 2?
What are the major differences between Versions 1.x and 2.0?
I am beginning to set up a new mail server for a small group
of users (~20 accounts). Options are the "0.99" version pre-
packaged with RHEL-4, or building v1.2.16 or v2.0.7. Just
wondering what the list recommends for a new installation.
Thanks,
- Don

cups causing segfault
Everyone,
I have a new installation of Centos 5.1 that I am using on a gateway
server that also has dhcp, named servers. I also have cups set up to
function as a print server, and sendmail is being used as a relay to our
mail server. yum-cron appears to be updating everything daily as
desired.
This Centos 5.1 gateway was created to replace a Fedora Core 5 system
with the same functions. When

I now have the PCI device on the DomU matching the Dom0 Device

However I now have this error
