Wiki deuglification Part I
Hey guys, I toyed around with the Wiki today to deuglify it a little bit. I used a theme which is a bit of a "CMS" theme for MoinMoin and played around with the logo colors. The theme is based on the plsavez theme, which I like as it has a very uncluttered interface for people who aren't logged in - they only see some important interwiki links (FrontPage, RecentChanges and so on),

Where did network setup goes under setup utility in CentOS 7?
In CentOS 6.7 I ran setup command and I could configure network settings from that "gui" utility at command line. In CentOS 7 I don't know where this goes or how to enabled. I have installed a few packages: yum install setuptool -y \ && yum install system-config-network-tui -y \ && yum install system-config-firewall* -y \ && yum install

puppet vs rhel4 system-config-securitylevel
Hey every one, Over the past week I have been exploring puppet and had been ignoring an oddity in its output that Luke helped me figure out today. It all started with trying to configure puppet to configure iptables using redhats utility system-config-securitylevel-tui on rhel4. I was able to get it up and running using the following configuration: node default{ firewall {rhel4:

Avoiding user home directories
Hi, When I connect to SAMBA using a particular username, apart from the shares I created, it appears that the home directory of the user logging in also shows up in the share list. I searched for a parameter using which I could control this, but was unsuccessful. The [HOMES] section of my SMB.CONF looks like: [homes] comment = Home Directories read only = No create mask

ldif invalid per syntax
Hello CentOS I am having a bit of trouble importing an ldif into openldap, tho the syntax looks a-ok to me. I am attempting to import my sudoers list into my ldap configuration and I used an application called sudoers2ldif to generate the ldif. I used the following command to import the file: ============================================= [root at bluethundr-desktop:~/txt/ldif ] $:ldapadd -h

access to file system through web browser
Hi. I am trying to find "something" (php prefered) that I can stick onto a Centos apache server that would allow me to browse a selected file system by employees through a web-browser "explorer like" interface. I know I can do this through WinSCP (and have done so), but my problem is I have Linux, Windows and MAC clients and my knowledge of MAC's is rather limited. I

FW: Getting PHP Config to work?
Hi, I have been doing various testing with asterisk and its been going great. However I am a bit feedup of using vi for editing configs, and would rather do it from any machine on my LAN. I am running debian and * via xorcom rapid on a test PC at the minute. Hence phpconfig would be great, however I am having difficulty getting it to work. I have searched the message boards and the wiki, and

blocking outgoing ports with iptables
Hi, I'm using the generic system-config-securitylevel-tui program on a remote server to configure my firewall. So far it's been fairly decent, allowing me to open up ports and whatnot. But I want to start blocking a couple of outgoing ports on my machine. I want to lock it down so the only traffic going in our out of my machine is stuff that I specify. Is there a way to do this
