Spacewalk howto for CentOS 5
Hi, I would like to contribute a howto page about the configuration of Spacewalk for package management under CentOS 5. Spacewalk is the upstream project for the source of RedHat Network Satellite. It provides a management interface for software updates across registered servers and desktops. Here is were I would like to put this page: <http://www.redhat.com/red_hat_network/>

Revert Spacewalk document
Dear all, HugoDoria's last two edits on the Spacewalk page (http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/PackageManagement/Spacewalk) have removed line feeds from all preformatted text, as well as pointed to some RHEL6 packages on a page written for CentOS 5. I propose that the page be reverted backed to revision 82. Regards, Timothy

How to select a rootfs to test job test-amd64-amd64-xl on my own machine ?
Hi All I try to test flight 12785 job test-amd64-amd64-xl on my own machine. How to merge the Xen kernel with modules into one single file ?
Hi all, To boot a Xen from grub, we normally use a Xen kernel and a domain0 kernel & initrd.img as its modules. Now, I want to merge these three files into one single kernel file, then I can boot it without modules. I am doing this because a simulator environment only has one file entry for the kernel. Do you guys have some hints on how to do that? BTW, I can merge the domain0 kernel &

kickstart install using url location
Hi, I am working on a kickstart install method and it works fine with cdrom as installation media. I would like change this media to an online resource. I saw option as - 'url --url http://<server>/<dir>'. I am not sure what should be the directory contents? Should we put all ISOs in that directory or what? Any insights? Thanks, CS.

auto-creating a local yum cache?
Hey folks, I just did an update on a system that is taking the better part of a day ( 5.3 ---> 5.7 ) mainly due to file download times. And I have 4 or 5 more systems to do. I know I can create my own repository and then point them at it - but that is difficult here because rsync is blocked (ggrrrrrr...) Surely there must be a way to have yum on the first box automatically cache everything

fatal error if Flex and Bison is not configured
Hi all, I try to build xen 4.2( revision number: 25161) on Ubuntu 11.10_amd64, Mac pro. After running ./configure and make. I got the following fatal error: *libxlu_cfg_y.y:22:26: fatal error: libxlu_cfg_l.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated.* So the original libxlu_cfg_l.h is deleted when making, and should be regenerated but it is not. Spacewalk Client Tools from Stahnma
Dear Patrice, I have noticed that you are referencing to the Stahnma repository for Spacewalk Client Tools. These are quite old and I would suggest to use the tools from: http://spacewalk.redhat.com/yum instead. Mr. Suchy already pushed some of the packages to Fedora/EPEL so they might be available there, soon. Besides that the Spacewalk Team is thinking about a split between client/server on

Spacewalk? Local repo? Cache?
I have a mix of CentOS 5, 6, and now 7 servers at work. There are enough of them now that it is starting to make sense for them to get updates from an internal source. I've seen RHN Satellite in years past. It looks like it may be a way to allow Windows admins here (familiar with WSUS) to update Linux boxes. A local repo might be easier to set up, but (as with Spacewalk) it seems like
