Folks, After installing CentOS 5, I installed a few Sybase dependencies such as compat-libstdc++-296 and libXp. Once Sybase was installed, I started the steps to create the Adaptative Server. I have just done a Rails database driver for Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere (SQL Anywhere Studio) If interested see http://www.iqx.co.uk/mhs/sybaseanywhere_adapter.zip or the Wiki.
