sharing bookmarks with rsync
I would like to have my computer at home and my
computer at work to share the same bookmarks. My idea
was to have each of the computers sync with a server's
bookmark file. If the client has a newer file than the
server it would upload it, if the client has an older
file it would download it. I already have the
authentication keys set up and want to do it over ssh.
Would this be one way to

Is it possible to add "bookmarks" to an ogg file? I've got a project we're I'd
like to be able to set bookmarks at specific times in a file and identify
them by id's like "part 1.1" etc. Anyone know if it's possible? Also would it
be possible with Ogg speex? Thanks,

How to display bookmarks on Lotus Notes 5 - Here is the solution
If you use Notes 5 with wine, you probably have the problem, that the
bookmarks frame doesn't open when you click on Favourites or other folders
on the left side.
Solution:
Create a Memo in Notes
Go to the Body field and select Create/Hotspot/Button
In the lower half, select Script and paste in this code

Hi,
I don't find a r-inferno.pdf that has detailed table of contents and
bookmarks. If it is possible, can somebody help generated one and post
it on line?

chmod for directories only
I want to change the permissions on directories, recursively to:
drwxr-xr-x
but keep the files within the directory tree as:
-rw-r--r--
But I can't find an option for chmod to only affect directories. I
suppose it won't hurt (in this case) to set the x for the files, but I
want some consistancy.

Centos 5.2, Firefox 3, and IPv6
I am doing some testing and it almost seems as if Firefox 3.0.1 that
comes with Centos 5.2 is NOT working with IPv6.
Anyone know for sure?
I am getting weird hang behaviours and other just not working things.

Firefox Live Bookmarks
For whatever reason, I deleted the live bookmarks a long time ago from
my Firefox menu. I can''t figure out how to get them back, does anyone
know? Do I have to reinstall FF or can I ''activate'' that part again?
Thanks.

Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0, Centos 5, and rpms
I am making some progress on my Centos 5 notebook build.
So I am looking at Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0.
Should I install them? Or is Redhat correct that there is nothing
improved here and wait for 3.0? (well I have not even had a chance to
look at Thunderbird 2.0, that is new)?
I have the install steps we covered here back on 2/2/07; but are there
rpms? I did not find anything over at

vncserver on IPv6

IPv6 support in VNC Server E4.1.7/P4.1.2
VNC Server E4.1.7 & P4.1.2 are fully IPv6-aware, but is shipped with
IPv6 support disabled by default, for security reasons. IPv6 can be
enabled by setting "InTransports=IPv6,IPv4" (the default being IPv4
only), either on the command-line when starting vncserver under Unix

boot hangs on trying to start sendmail
I am building a new server. It will be a temporary firewall of sorts.
I am well into the config, made a lot of changes; almost ready to set it
up in the target networks, but now....
The system hangs trying to start sendmail. I was thinking hard about
disabling sendmail, but thought I needed it for internal functions, so
did not. yet.
So is there someway to get the system working so I can
