sharing bookmarks with rsync
I would like to have my computer at home and my computer at work to share the same bookmarks. My idea was to have each of the computers sync with a server's bookmark file. If the client has a newer file than the server it would upload it, if the client has an older file it would download it. I already have the authentication keys set up and want to do it over ssh. Would this be one way to

chmod for directories only
I want to change the permissions on directories, recursively to: drwxr-xr-x but keep the files within the directory tree as: -rw-r--r-- But I can't find an option for chmod to only affect directories. I suppose it won't hurt (in this case) to set the x for the files, but I want some consistancy.

For whatever reason, I deleted the live bookmarks a long time ago from my Firefox menu. I can''t figure out how to get them back, does anyone know? Do I have to reinstall FF or can I ''activate'' that part again? Thanks. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0, Centos 5, and rpms
I am making some progress on my Centos 5 notebook build. So I am looking at Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0. Should I install them? Or is Redhat correct that there is nothing improved here and wait for 3.0? (well I have not even had a chance to look at Thunderbird 2.0, that is new)? I have the install steps we covered here back on 2/2/07; but are there rpms? I did not find anything over at

boot hangs on trying to start sendmail
I am building a new server. It will be a temporary firewall of sorts. I am well into the config, made a lot of changes; almost ready to set it up in the target networks, but now.... The system hangs trying to start sendmail. I was thinking hard about disabling sendmail, but thought I needed it for internal functions, so did not. yet. So is there someway to get the system working so I can
