Bug#609517: xen-utils-3.2-1: Pygrub can't find grub.conf in a reiserfs partion on amd64 arch
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1
Version: 3.2.1-2
Severity: normal
Tags: patch
Hi,
There is a bug xen-3-3.2.1/tools/libfsimage/reiserfs/fsys_reiserfs.c,
it is using "unsigned long" which is 64 bits on amd64 arch and 32
bits on i386 arch.
This makes pygrub can't work on reiserfs on amd64 arch. You can easily
reproduce it.
A patch is included for fixing this problem.

glmmPQL question!
Hello Folks-
Is there a way to create confidence bands with 'glmmPQL' ???
I am performing a stroke study for Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. I am trying to
decide a way to best plot the model which we created with the glmmPQL function in R. I would like
to plot my actual averaged data points within 95 % confidence intervals from the model. Plotting
the model is easy,

Bug#571634: xen-utils-common: using --physdev-out in the OUTPUT, FORWARD and POSTROUTING
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 3.4.2-3
Followup-For: Bug #571634
I can confirm that this bug not only exists in the current version but
that it
makes a DomU which forwards packets unusable. Other "simpler" DomUs
which do
not forward work perfectly.

filtering data frame based on two columns
Hi,
I have a data frame df with column names a,b and c.
Now I want to get a subset of df that satified the condition a == 1 and b
== 2, how do I specify this.
For one condition like a == 1 I can use subdf = df[,df$a==1] to get the
right answer, but
subdf = df[,df$a==1 && df$b ==2] does not return the right answer.
Some quick tips please.

SMBTAR Not Backing up Files
I am having trouble getting SMBTAR to do a complete backup on NT
Workstation and NT Server. The backup starts off just fine. However,
after a short time, errors begin showing up and files are not backed
up. The files that are missed are not open files. I have set the -t
option to disk and tape. I get pretty much the same result. Both NT
machines have over 2 GB of data to backup up. I am

GetText Question: How not to gather ActiveRecord''s columns?
Hi,
Rake''s ''updatepo'' task[1] suggested by Masao(Ruby-GetText maintainer)
gather whole model''s columns. I don''t need to translate those column names.
So I''d like to give translators the po files without such needless messages.
However I wouldn''t like to exclude ''app/models'', because of some useful

Installation woes for rattle (and other packages)
Yesterday I wanted to try rattle on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty. I had (and still have) it running
(though it complains on startup a bit -- I'll look into that later) on a different bootup
on the same machine with 8.04 Hardy.
I got an error that libglade cannot be found, and various attempts to get glade support
failed. I removed and reinstalled R -- same problem.

query time stemming and term weights
I am developping a personal/desktop search tool for which I am
experimenting with doing no stemming during the indexing, but instead
having a stem database (or several for different languages), used for
expanding the query terms at search time.
(ie: user query: flooring -> stem: floor
-> final query for: [floored flooring floorings floors])
I have thought of a possible problem with
