handling mac addresses and guid''s
Hi, I like Xen''s feature of autogenerating those values if they are not supplied in a config file, but for sake of persistency I want to inherit the once-generated values and reuse them after the first creation of a domU. I found it possible to query the values at runtime using xm list --long but I''m not sure I''m going the most elegant route with that, it would mean

Bug#481105: [PATCH] adjust patch to pygrub and hvmloader
I just tripped over this issue with pygrub. The code is written such that saying bootloader="pygrub" should cause the correct path to be used, the attached patch simply fixes this path to be correct. I don't have an HVM capable test machine handy (so I can't actually confirm this works) but I think changing the default "kernel" for an HVM guest to point to the correct

Bug#481105: xen-utils-3.2-1: Need to ajust path to pygrub and hvmloader
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1 Version: 3.2.0-5 Severity: important virtinst Debian package is pointing the pygrub path to /usr/bin/ and hvmloader to /usr/lib/xen/boot/. I suggest ajust the path creating a symbolic link of /usr/lib/xen-3.2-1/bin/pygrub to /usr/bin/pygrub and /usr/lib/xen-3.2-1/boot/hvmloader to /usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader. In the last case, need ajust the directory

Is XVD live resize possible?
Hi! Say I export an LVM logical volume from dom0 as /dev/xvda to the domU: disk = [ ''phy:xenimages/stan,xvda,w'' ] No I can lvresize xenimages/stan in dom0, but the domU stays ignorant of this change. How could I propagate the resize to the domU without rebooting or temporarily breaking its connection to /dev/xvda? Sort of a SCSI rescan, perhaps? -- Thanks, Feri.

Set correct path to pygrub and hvmloader
Hello waldi, I'm working with agx in libvirt and virtinst packages, and I've detected a issue with pygrub and hvmloader path. The original source of virtinst package, point the pygrub path to /usr/lib and point the hvmloader path to /usr/lib/xen/boot. I suggest a symbolic link using alternatives police to correct it. Is it possible to change this in Xen package? Cheers, -- Marco

RHEL6 beta vs. Xen
Has anyone yet figured out what it would take to make Xen run on top of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 beta? We are heavily invested in Xen under RHEL5 (actually a redhat clone) distribution, but already the xen kernel they are shipping with update 4 and 5 is shaky and has bugs which they don''t seem to be in a hurry to fix. Basically I am wondering if Redhat 6 is just going to have

backport upstream pygrub fixes to allow booting squeeze default install?
Hi Bastian, I'd like to propose backporting the following changesets from upstream xen-unstable into the xen-3 package. With these it is possible to boot a default installation of Squeeze (using d-i) in a domU using pygrub. 20480:c2c2e67b8198 pygrub: if default entry is "saved" then use first entry. 20481:8f4e0adc2b3b pygrub: expands tabs before displaying menus. 20485:086a6a0c3f37

dovecot - 2 Faktor Auth

Resize domU block device?
Is there a way for a domU to discover size changes of block devices modified by dom0? To make it clear - if I do in dom0 a lvresize of a logical volume given as physical disk to a domU, is there a way to use the new size of this device within the domU without reboot? 2-Ring Delay for CLID
Hello All, Need a little direction, please. I have searched the lists, WIKI, and googled a problem that I'm sure I'm overlooking. I understand why Asterisk/Zaptel waits two rings to answer (caller ID must be sent) but can I reduce the amount of time it takes before Asterisk/Zaptel answers? In other words, I'm not concerned about Caller ID and want the line answered as quickly as

false busy using sipura spa-3000 with asterisk on solaris
I'm new to asterisk and already a fan. Please forgive me if my questions are covered by some FAQ and thanks in advance for any pointers anyone can give me. The basic problem that I'm having is that sometimes outgoing calls result in a busy signal when the outgoing line is free. I'm thinking that the channel is timing out or something but haven't figured out how to debug or gather

plot: many bars with wide bars
Hello, I have got another problem. I wrote a function which is able to create plots with different numbers of bars. In order to give them a similar look I determined the width of the bars using the parameters width=0.59 AND ylim=c(0,10)) (see function below) Now, this only works if I have just got up to 6 double bars. In the following example it doesn't work because the bars for the
