ioemu/xenfb
Hi folks There are two components, which are currently not included in the main utils package: ioemu, xenfb. ioemu is currently shipped in its own package, xenfb is not shipped at all. Should we fold them into the main utils package for simplicity? ioemu adds 300k to the package and 4300k in one dependency (libsdl1.2debian). xenfb adds another 200k to the package and 200k in one dependency

Bug#476366: xen-utils-3.2-1: pygrub cannot read ext3 files systems with 256 byte inodes
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1 Version: 3.2.0-4 Severity: important Tags: patch pygrub uses tools/libfsimage to read a guest filesystem. Unfortunately the grub derived code does not support 256 byte inodes. Grub itself has been patched (see #463236 and #463123) and this patch has now been applied to the upstream Xen tree. Bug#525169: xen-utils-3.2-1: FreeBSD (possbly others) do not work in Xen 3.2-1 due to real mode emulation bugs
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1 Version: 3.2.1-2 Severity: important Intel processors have a bug with Vt that causes problems with Xen real-mode emulation. This renders FreeBSD (and possibly other OS'es) unbootable in Xen with HVM. Later versions of Xen 3.2 (and 3.3) emulate real-mode instructions so this problem doesn't exist. I would provide the relevant patches, but I do not have much

Package: xen-utils-3.2-1 Version: 3.2.1-2 Severity: normal Tags: patch Hi, There is a bug xen-3-3.2.1/tools/libfsimage/reiserfs/fsys_reiserfs.c, it is using "unsigned long" which is 64 bits on amd64 arch and 32 bits on i386 arch. This makes pygrub can't work on reiserfs on amd64 arch. You can easily reproduce it. A patch is included for fixing this problem. diff

Installation woes for rattle (and other packages)
Yesterday I wanted to try rattle on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty. I had (and still have) it running (though it complains on startup a bit -- I'll look into that later) on a different bootup on the same machine with 8.04 Hardy. I got an error that libglade cannot be found, and various attempts to get glade support failed. I removed and reinstalled R -- same problem. To avoid the issue of local setup

Bug#508139: HVM guests can't be used because there is no /usr/lib/xen folder
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1 Version: 3.2.1-2 Severity: grave I tried to start an HVM guest to setup Windows 2003 64 bits entreprise R2, and I spent a long time figuring out that there is no /usr/lib/xen folder by default, and this is where Xen is searching for it's file when using HVM, VNC and all. Doing a simple symlink with ln -s /usr/lib/xen-3.2.1 /usr/lib/xen made it working, if it's not
