Bug#476366: xen-utils-3.2-1: pygrub cannot read ext3 files systems with 256 byte inodes
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1 Version: 3.2.0-4 Severity: important Tags: patch pygrub uses tools/libfsimage to read a guest filesystem. Unfortunately the grub derived code does not support 256 byte inodes. Grub itself has been patched (see #463236 and #463123) and this patch has now been applied to the upstream Xen tree. Debian revisions and policy comments [signed]
I've just been trying to catch up with the posts already so figured I'd just start another thread as it seemed I would address things from multiple emails. I really need to get my sieve filter script updated to move the list emails into the proper folder now I guess :) We can play with the revision of the packaging during testing. One idea would be to use 3.0.1-0.YYYYMMDD for

Request to join pkg-xen project on alioth
Hi, Can you please let me be a project member, and if possible, project admin too, since I'm working on the XAPI and Xen packaging with Ian Campbell (who is also a DD) and other people at Citrix? I guess it would make sense to also have Ian Campbell and Bastian Blank as project admins, since they are also active DDs for the Xen packaging. I haven't seen you active in this project. Are

More on our TODO lit
Hi! We have a couple more things on our TODO list, it seems... (If we could use the BTS tracking things would be better) (or we could use the issue tracker on alioth, for now) 1. xen-utils: Right now domains get shut down on upgrade... This is ok in a 2.0 -> 3.0 scenario, but it's not in a 3.0.1 -> 3.0.2, where we could avoid that, probably! Should we perhaps try to avoid that,

Pending upload
Hi, One last thought... We haven't heard anything back from Bastian (for which I'm sorry, I would really have liked if he had joined us) and in the meantime consensus seem to have formed on -kernel and -devel, or at least there was no more answers... Which means at least people don't disagree strongly with the conclusions taken... In the meantime, though, there's still the upload

pkg-xen team dead?
Hi folks With the lack of responses to my restructuring the last weeks, it looks like pkg-xen is dead. Now, what to do? My favorite is to merge it into the kernel repository where I have my infrastructure (archive and autobuilders for snapshots for example) to properly work on it. Xen source [signed]
I just also wanted to mention that I have the current released source tarballs downloaded and placed at http://people.debian.org/~jbouse/xen/ at this time. As the only way to get the source tarballs I've found is via bittorrent unless you want to give your email address I'll continue to keep the the current tarball located there. That is one thing that I noticed about Ralph's

Extraneous kruft [signed]
Looking through the build files I'm wondering if we can't do some clean-up and remove extraneous kruft before we release. Like the config.dbs and the README.build that talks about the config.dbs. From looking through the build setup I don't see either file actually critically needed and looks like Ralph may have come to a similar conclusion by the comments added to the README.build

Shall we release 3.0.1?
Hi everybody! At least xen 3.0 packages seem to be working, tested, and in a pretty good shape... (I haven't personally tested xen-unstable, so I cannot say) I propose releasing rev150 in unstable or at least experimental in the next few days... No, this is not a late april's fool... :D Comments? Ideas? Suggestions? Rants? Guido
