Adding PDU support to NUT
I've recently been working a bit on adding PDU
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_distribution_unit) support in NUT.
Some of you might have seen the Powerman thread, which also deals with
adding more PDUs support:
http://powerman.sourceforge.net/supported.html
The result is that we now have support for 2 Eaton | Powerware ePDUs
(Managed and Monitored iirc, check http://www.epdu.com).

CentOS6 yum-plugin-fastestmirror spectacular failure
I'm trying to update from the cr repo, but yum-plugin-fastestmirror gets
it totally wrong; it selects a mirror in .hk that deliveres bytes per second,
and as far as I can tell, most or all of the timedhosts.txt entries are
in the Middle or Far East. What's going on? Nobody mirroring cr in other
parts of the world?

Dynamic HID driver mappings, Tripplite-hid.c
I think I'm going to have the slightly rejigger the tripplite-hid.c
driver to 'properly' support all of the data I know about it's
outlets.
A given UPS may have 'n' output loads. I could have 5, I could have
10, I won't know until I actually ask the UPS. But in order to use
the hid to nut struct, I'm actually going to have to modify that
struct dynamically, or

Hi Arnaud,
I may not have been specific enough in my description.
The crash that Jason saw is with the version of snmp-ups that is

Arnaud,
The gen-snmp-subdriver.sh script is setting mib2nut[i]->oid_auto_check to NULL for new drivers (with no instructions

3.0.1-2 failed to decode PDU
Hi All,
come acrross a curious issue with 3.0.1-2 from Debian unstable. Looks
like a bug of sorts to me...
Have a PDC configured and basically working well, apart from single
recurrent issue that keeps popping up in the logs below, related to
failure or breaking of remote procedure calls.
The pipes more often break when using the UNC path as opposed to IP.

USBHID-PDU datagram
Hello *,
I have my "24V DC modular ATX PSU" running yet and it collect already
the data form the DS1780 and MAX1036/8. The Microcontroller is a Maxim
Integrated Device DS89C450 and the USB-Controller a MAX3420E which works
over SPI Bit-Banging.
OK, this is now working and enumeration is done... ;-)
Now since the PSU is a "Function" I was looking into the Linux

Tripplite UPS (SU10KRT3/1X) through snmp-ups (nut 2.6.5)
Hi, Nut-upsusers,
I am having problem configuring NUT to work with Tripplite UPS through SNMP.
There is a Tripplite SmartOnline SU10KRT3/1X and attempts to monitor it
using NUT though SNMP are failing...
OS: Enterprise Linux 6, Nut version: 2.6.5.
ups.conf is configured:

driver = snmp-ups
port = 10.200.254.39

Hi.
I'm trying to configure NUT to manage a HP R12000/3 3-phase UPS fitted with an AF401A management module but it immediately crashes with a segmentation fault.
O/S is CentOS 6.3 64-bit
NUT built from tarball
AF401A Firmware version 2.1.3
Extract from /etc/ups/ups.conf

driver = snmp-ups

Opening the 2.4 commit fest
fellows,
You can now commit to the trunk everything that is scheduled for 2.4
For my part, the november month will be mostly dedicated to the following:
- commit the USB "improved maintenance" code. I'm about to finish that
one, which allows to extract USB info and generate the various USB
related files (hotplug, udev and hal). so the end of that bothering
era ^_^

[Bridge] BR2684-rt and brctl
Hello,
I am wondering if any of you knows how to add BR2684-rt nas
interfaces into a Ethernet bridge, I know that brctl will work with
BR2684-br, but not for BR2684-rt.
Many thanks!
Hai

Adding extra fields from an external source
Hi,
I have an existing (Open)LDAP which I'm using with dovecot and I would
like to implement quotas. I have global quotas working, but I would like
per user quotas similar to what is described in the wiki
(http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Quota/Configuration#LDAP) My problem is that
there is no obvious attribute in the schemas shipped in the RHEL/Centos
6 to hold the quota string.
Is it possible to

ZFS, iSCSI + Mac OS X Tiger (globalSAN iSCSI)
I have set up an iSCSI ZFS target that seems to connect properly from the
Microsoft Windows initiator in that I can see the volume in MMC Disk
Management.
When I shift over to Mac OS X Tiger with globalSAN iSCSI, I am able to set
up the Targets with the target name shown by `iscsitadm list target` and
when I actually connect or "Log On" I see that one connection exists on the
