Hello everyone, has anyone ever tried to make this device work with Linux and NUT? This is what udevadm monitor says: UEVENT[1215983089.652345] add /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0f.2/usb1/1-1 (usb) UEVENT[1215983089.652427] add /class/usb_endpoint/usbdev1.4_ep00 (usb_endpoint) UEVENT[1215983089.657975] add /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0f.2/usb1/1-1/1-1:1.0 (usb) UDEV

Converting megatec_usb.c -> serial_usb.c
Folks, I think the present megatec_usb.c deserves to be renamed to serial_usb.c. I think it potentially could serve many more UPS'es with built-in USB-to-serial converters, not limited to the megatec_usb driver (although that was the first one to use this). I also think a more layered approach would be nice, in the same fashion as the usbhid-ups driver with subdrivers. Which would mean that

Maruson power net 1500 support?
I recently took over maintenance of a linux computer which is drawing power from a "Maruson Power Net 1500" UPS. However, there is currently no monitoring or control of the UPS by this (or any other) computer. Can nut control this device? There are serial, usb, and EPO connectors on the back of the unit. (There may be a manual but I'm going to have to hunt for it.) Thanks, David

Re: [nut-commits] svn commit r801 - in branches/megatec-usb: . drivers
Hi Alexander, thanks for your good work on the megatec_usb driver. I have made a few more (cosmetic) changes. Is the driver now working stably for your device? In particular, do the instant commands (and particularly "upsdrvctl -k") work properly? In this case, we could hopefully mark the device as "supported" and merge the driver to the main branch. There is still the

Can't select phoenix as subdriver in megatec_usb
Hello, I'm working on getting nut using a Powermust Office 650 USB USV. Using today's trunk megatec_usb detects its vendorid 0665 productid 5161 but uses the agiler driver for it which apparently does not work (timeout...). I think this device is using that USB-to-serial chip but a different protocol behind. I got the phoenix subdriver working with the device but I had to extend

Its a regression from 2.2.1. not yet! @Alex: any idea on your side (change of the default driver or something alike) this seems to be a timing or reading problem according to the "short read" msg Artin, can you also post the debug drivers's output of 2.2.1 for comparing? --

energizerups == megatec_usb -x subdriver=agiler?
Looking for ioctl() calls in the drivers, I noticed that the energizerups.c code looks a lot like a megatec protocol over a USB connection. It uses 8 bytes per packet, which makes it look like the agiler subdriver in megatec_usb. Do we know if there are people that use this driver now and that might be able to verify this? Bogus "UPS not available" messages
Belkin F6C1200-UNV on Ubuntu 7.04, megatec_usb driver, Every few minutes I get a beep and a "UPS not available" message that seems to be bogus; upsc reports real data, not at complaint that it's stale. Is there some timeout I need to lengthen? Also, shouldn't upsc report the poll time associated with the data it displays? -- >>esr>>

PowerWalker VFI 2000 RT LCD
Hi all, I have problem with UPS from PowerWalker model VFI 2000 RT LCD over USB (didn't try serial yet). UPS should work via HID driver but ups.status is not rendered properly. Specification of UPS says USB HID compatible. HID driver is the only one which talks with UPS as i try a few from /lib/nut. I use driver usbhid-ups (which communicate with ups), but subdriver resolving is

Lupus 500 MEC0003 Problems
Hi, This is my first post ever on a technical forum, so please forgive any poor etiquette etc. Also I'm totally new to Linux all of my experience has been trying to get this UPS to work. So please bear this in mind. I'm running OpenSuse 13.1 and I have a Lupus 500 USB (Fideltronik) After quite a bit of playing around I managed to get the status of the UPS using the blazer_usb driver and

megatec over USB - new driver patch
Hello, all. Some time ago I bought myself a UPS which was advertised as USB-HID. It was a surprise to learn that while it definitely is recognized as USB device, the HID descriptor has no UPS pages at all. The only software it came with was a windows program written in visual basic. Trying to research this topic I found a reference to energizer USB ups driver and learned about variety of

Is this really needed/desirable? I think this kind of information needs to be put in the AUTHORS document. There are many more people on this list that put a lot of effort in NUT, without claiming credit

Installing NUT for PowerWalker VI 1500 LCD
Since the provided drivers come with absolutely no installation instructions, I turned to NUT. The compatibility list says "blazer_usb" should be used for PowerWalker's devices, so that's what I put in my conf: [pwvi] driver = blazer_usb port = auto desc = "PowerWalker VI 1500 LCD" Since I use Ubuntu Server 13.10 so I installed nut from apt.
