Re: [Nemo-devel] nuts status page
Adam: Thanks for putting up this page. But something is wrong. In
particular, our Powerware 9135 is a three phase UPS system with THREE 480
volt outputs. So the displayed voltage is not correct -- in fact there
should really be THREE voltages displayed, all around 480v.

suggest how to fix this. NUT developers, see the

help w/ Powerware Prestige 9
Hi,
I've got a Powerware Prestige 9 1kVA UPS that seems to not be working with
nut. It's not in the current "supported hardware" list, but the old
bcmxcp page lists it as being a UPS that speaks that protocol.
I have the following in my ups.conf
[powerware]
driver = bcmxcp
port = /dev/ttyS0
desc = "Powerware Prestige 9 EXT"
baud_rate = 2400
And when I start the

HP/Compaq Rackmount UPS Support?
Hi,
I have an HP R5500XR and a Compaq R3000XR that I would like to use with nut.
I searched the compatibility lists and the mail list archives but couldn't
find anything.
They both have 9 pin serial ports.
Can anyone give me any information about them, and if they are supported by
nut?
Thanks,
Denny Fox

Powerware Prestige 1000VA
Hi all,
I've more-or-less got NUT 2.0.4 working with my Powerware Prestige
1000VA UPS (serial), but unfortunately NUT is flagging LOW_BATTERY
continuously, which is a tad embarrassing when power fails ;-)
The numbers from upsc blah at localhost seem reasonable:
ambient.temperature: 24.5
battery.charge: 99
battery.runtime: 3999
battery.voltage: 69.2
driver.name: bcmxcp

Powerware Prestige EXT 1000VA / PowerWorks A30 support?
Hello,
does NUT support Powerware Prestige EXT 1000VA / PowerWorks A30 models
in smart mode? I don't see them mentioned in the compatibility list
(only Powerware 3115 and 5119 are there, listed as supported only by
the "genericups" driver). Is the protocol known to be compatible with
any other, supported UPS types?
Thanks,
Marek

Help please with Powerware 3105 serial on SUSE10.1
Help please on Powerware 3105 serial (aka SOLA 305 here in Australia).
Is it best configured as a contact-closure device or do I try and
persist to get bcmxcp to work - which it won't so far?
Running on SUSE 10.1

Eaton Powerware 5110 UPS
Hi,
I am wanting to use NUT to connect to an Eaton Powerware 5110 UPS using
USB to connect.
- I am using NUT 2.0.2
- I have compiled it with USB support
- I can see that the UPS is registered as connecting in /var/log/messages
eg usb 3-1: USB disconnect, address 3
usb 3-2: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4
But I don't know how to progress from here.

Powerware 5125 works ?
Hi there.
At the moment I'm trying to get my HP T1500 XR (Powerware 5125) UPS to
work with NUT.
NUT registers that the UPS is on battery/online, but I just cant get the
program to shut down the computer
I'm using the original cable (thus I didn't enter anything in the
ups.conf file)
If I remove the cable and run the daemon/program the computer will
shutdown after x minutes defined in

bcmxcp_usb offers no runtime or serial # with a Powerware 5110/700va
Hi everyone,
First of all a big thank you for the NUT package, I've been using it for
years and couldn't get by without it!
I have two Powerware UPS's here, a 9120/1500va and a 5110/700va. The 9120
has used a hacked bcmxcp driver (serial) from the 2.0.2 nut version for
about a year now (which I'll explain more about in a seperate email to the
dev list), and the 5110 which I just

Powerware 3105 - SuSE 10.0
Hi,
I'm trying to get a Powerware 3105 UPS working on SuSE 10.0. I have compiled
nut from the current Subversion repository. This UPS uses the bcmxcp_usb
driver.
I cannot get the driver to find the ups on the USB bus.
The error message I get is:-

Starting Network UPS Tools: (upsdrvctl failed) upsd upsmon ?
Using the HOWTO in
http://keystoneit.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/network-ups-tools-nut-on-ubuntu/
I installed nut on an Ubuntu Edgy LAMP Server with an Eaton Powerware 5110
attached to it via usb. But nut fails to start properly (see the error
message "Starting Network UPS Tools: (upsdrvctl failed) upsd upsmon"
below). It then complains about communication with the UPS being lost

bcmxcp - Powerware 9125
I'm currently testing the bcmxcp driver for NUT, and it causes me some
trouble. And when scanning the archives it seems like the 3110 USB problem
reported recently.
The bcmxcp daemon stops running, and the logs shows the following:

questions re. patching bcmxcp.c and choosing variable names
I've patched bcmxcp.c such that it can power cycle the outlet load
segments independently on a Powerware PW5125 UPS. I presume that it will
work for any XCP protocol UPS with 2 load segments.
Should these instant commands be called
outlet.1.shutdown.return
outlet.2.shutdown.return
?
Where do the descriptions displayed by upscmd -l come from? Presently it
shows
outlet.1.shutdown.return -
