Gathering information : drivers and UPS infos
Hello NUT ! In order to fill info structure I'm putting in the drivers, I need to gather a lot of information. The information I need, at best, is : - For each USB UPS, the pair VendorID ProductID - For each pair Driver/UPS supported, how was made the driver ? By the manufacturer, by reverse engineering, ... - Who contributed to which driver - Who is the "maintener" of each driver

Help with newhidups subdriver for Dynex UPS
Hello everyone! If this message was posted twice, my apologies. I'm having issues with my webmail today... I am using the testing version of NUT from SVN at changeset 582. I have successfully created a stub for newhidups driver for my Dynex DX-800U UPS, but I am completely lost on the customization of it. I've followed the hid-subdrivers.txt instructions and I understand I need to

PowerWalker VFI 2000 RT LCD
Hi all, I have problem with UPS from PowerWalker model VFI 2000 RT LCD over USB (didn't try serial yet). UPS should work via HID driver but ups.status is not rendered properly. Specification of UPS says USB HID compatible. HID driver is the only one which talks with UPS as i try a few from /lib/nut. I use driver usbhid-ups (which communicate with ups), but subdriver resolving is

Request for new UPS support : Tecnoware ECO LCD 650VA
Hello! I'm not a very happy owner of "Designed in Italy and manufactured in China" Tecnoware ECO LCD 650 UPS. Plan was to use it with FreeNAS 8 on HP Microserver... But this plan gone bad. I want to ask you to look at another "Megatec USB" protocol implementation. This UPS controlled by UPSilon 2000 program (Windows OS). Protocol type Mega(USB). Bad things: - Program does

Patch to support GE EP series
Hi, recently I got a GE EP6000R UPS. At first I feared it's not supported at all, but after digging in I found out that it's supported by the 'blazer' driver. The UPS has both RS232 and USB connection. To use the RS232 connection, I had to use the 'cablepower = none' as the UPS is using only RX, TX and GND pins. So my 'usp.conf' was a bit like that: > [myups]

Well, now that the `subdriver` option got added to `usbhid-ups` too, you can at least try that (by building again the current master). See command-line help for the subdrivers it would currently recognize, and copy e.g. the first word as the matching option, e.g.: ./drivers/usbhid-ups -DDDDDD -d1 -s test -x port=auto -x vendorid=... -x productid=... -x subdriver=... and try to lockpick your

USB support for Sweex 1000 VA UPS (was: Help with USB support for a Kebo UPS-650D)
First off, my apologies for bringing back this thread from the dead (September 2005, http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2005-September/000150.html), however my problem seems relevant enough that I wondered what happened to this thread as it seems to have died after the message I quote below. Add USB vendor/device id for Belkin F6C120-UNV
I just moved my UPS over from serial to USB and found that I needed to add it to the hotplug USB list to make things work. Belkin F6C120-UNV - Bus 002 Device 004: ID 050d:0912 Belkin Components It seems to be working OK on 2.0.4 with newhidups. Attached is a patch which I think should add the appropriate device id's in the right places to the trunk code. Jon -------------- next part

Centralion Blazer 2000VA USB-HID
Hi again, I've succeeded in compiling the svn trunk with the automake tools and wish to say thank you to Charles Lepple for his help. After fixing some parameters in the hotplug script I can now get access to the UPS on /dev/usb/hiddev0 (I added productid and vendorid of my ups to the usermap). I've decided to try the newhidups driver with -x generic parameter and got this response :

Can't select phoenix as subdriver in megatec_usb
Hello, I'm working on getting nut using a Powermust Office 650 USB USV. Using today's trunk megatec_usb detects its vendorid 0665 productid 5161 but uses the agiler driver for it which apparently does not work (timeout...). I think this device is using that USB-to-serial chip but a different protocol behind. I got the phoenix subdriver working with the device but I had to extend
