newhidups / Solaris 10 / APC RM1500
Hi there, been using NUT for ages and recently upgraded to a new server; while I'm waiting for a USB->Serial adapter for Solaris to arrive, I thought I'd play with the newhidups, as the APC UPS I have has a USB port and the new server doesn't have a serial port.... I've got Solaris 10 & newhidups working with the ugen driver up to a point, and that is a read

CyberPower CP1200AVR/BC1200D problems
I recently purchased a CyberPower CP1200AVR UPS and am trying to get NUT 2.0.3 or NUT 2.1.0 to work with the newhidups driver, but am having little success. Before I purchased I did some googling and saw people talking about problems so I'm guessing it may not be supported yet? I did find some posts about people getting it to (sort of) work with some hacks, but couldn't tell if they

Just wanted to report that I have successfully got a Dynex DX-800U UPS functioning with the newhidups driver. Incorrect 'low battery' detected with Back-UPS XS 1200 (newhidups)
Hello All I just discoverd NUT and I'm lovin' it. I was very successful getting nut to monitor a CyberPower UPS along with having a Linux slave for a friend of mine. I've come to a snag on my personal system though. I currently have two Back-UPS XS 1200 APC UPSs, and I'm seeing notifications of low battery on both units. Now, both units are not showing 'low battery' on

CyberPower CP550SL / AE550 success
Hi, I finally got the serial cable for this CyberPower CP550SL / AE550, and have successfully tested the genericups type 7 driver. The shutdown delay is about 2 minutes after the shutdown signal, and that signal needs to be rather long, I got it to work with 20 seconds. I suspect that all CyberPower UPSes that are compatible with the Windows UPS service are type 7. All references to the

Device not found--newhidups, FreeBSD 4.10, CyperPower 685AVR
I've been using nut with a serial device for a while, but today I tried hooking up this new CyberPower 685 unit via newhidups--since it seemed better supported over USB than serial, based on reading the list archives and cvs logs. Unfortunately, I can't connect to it. My system sees the device: uhid1: CPS UPS BF700, rev 1.10/0.01, addr 2, iclass 3/0 ... and I have chmodded all

newhidups fails only at boot
I can start the driver successfully manually, after the machine is up and running, but at boot time, it can't find my UPS. My init script makes sure that the usbfs is up (by checking for the existence of /proc/bus/usb/devices), and I can't think of what else could be different with the boot-time failure versus the manual startup after logging in. I'll include my configuration at the
