[Nut-upsuser] CyberPower CP550SL / AE550 success
Hi, I finally got the serial cable for this CyberPower CP550SL / AE550, and have successfully tested the genericups type 7 driver. The shutdown delay is about 2 minutes after the shutdown signal, and that signal needs to be rather long, I got it to work with 20 seconds. I suspect that all CyberPower UPSes that are compatible with the Windows UPS service are type 7. All references to the Windows UPS service that I've found on their web site specify the same configuration polarities. These parameters coincide with the (undocumented) Windows UPS service pin-out and genericups type 7 uses this pin-out and CyberPower's signal polarities. I've also found that it will work with the newhidups driver in trunk, but that's not quite as useful to me as it requires a non-GENERIC NetBSD kernel. I suggest adding this to the list of compatible hardware. Jonathan Kollasch -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
