Belkin F6C100-UNV + newhidups
Mr. Selinger,
I'm CCing you directly since it appears (insofar as I can tell) that you
are one of the delelopers for the newhidups driver.
This is the third time I've submitted this (hence the CC this time).
Hopefully mailman takes it. I've tweaked my SPF records, and I'm hoping
that was the problem.
My sincere apologies if this has gone through and I just haven't seen it

Belkin F6C100-UNV and "-x wait"
I recently installed NUT 2.2.1 and set it up with a Belkin F6C100-UNV.
I can monitor it via serial (belkinunv) or USB (usbhid-ups) cable, and
both do seem to work fine, but I would prefer USB to avoid having to add a
PCI serial card to the machine. I had to unplug something else to try it
with a serial cable.
Using 'belkinunv', there's a "-x wait" option:

Belkin F6C1100-UNV
All,
I just bought a Belkin F6C1100-UNV and am trying to get it to work
with NUT. I have tried many drivers ( "belkin", "belkinunv",
"genericups upstype=4", and "genericups upstype=7",
"bestups", "fentonups"). None of them seem to work. Does anyone have
any experience with this device?
If there is some utility that you all use to

cannnot load drivers for a Belkin F6C800-UNV
Hi,
I've been fighting with trying to get a Belkin Universal model

Belkin F6C1100-UNV
Hi,
it'd be great if you could update the documentation on the website
that some models of the Belkin -UNV series will only work with the
megatec(_usb) drivers. I wasted a lot of time on trying to get it to
work with the wrong drivers, and would like to spare others the pain
:-).
Thanks,
~David
P.S. Some forum post said that the stable megatec drivers don't work
100% with the belkin UPS,

belkin Q:
I'm trying to set up a belkin f6c1100-unv UPS to work with nuts. From
reading the mailing list, it sounds like the belkinunv serial driver
should work and that the USB driver is potentially troublesome. Is this
a correct impression?
Also I may have missed this but if I do go with the serial (or USB port)
is there any simple command line method for verifying basic
connectivity? The

Nut problems with Centos and Belkin UPS
Hi Arjen
My apologies fro drifting off topic in the other mailing list...:-)
On the bottom of the Belkin UPS unit - is the model number: F6C120auUNV
The "au" is for Australia I think.
"man belkinunv" states that F6C120-UNV is supported - and I assumed that
the "au" would not prevent this.
I plugged in the USB to gather the information you requested. My

Belkin and newhidups (was: Belkin F6C550-AVR UPS)
Zaid,
I have a Belkin F6C800-UNV which has both a serial and USB connector.
The serial connection is already working with the Belkinunv driver.
I will connect via the USB and then compare both sets of variables.
This should allow me to correlate and shed some light on the meaning
of many of Belkin's non-standard "Usage" descriptors. With this
information, it should be very easy

Format of entires in data/driver.list
I want to propose to change the format of the entries in the
data/driver.list file. Currently the format is (according to the header)
# <manufacturer> <model name> <model extra> <driver>
Of these fields, the <model extra> field is not very well defined now. For
many devices, it contains information about the communication interface
used (serial / USB / SNMP) while

NUT: Belkin Universal driver - modification to -k behaviour (diff attached)
Hi
I'm sending this to you as it appears that you are the person who looks
after and/or supervises the code for NUT's Belkin drivers. I'm using the
address you use for the Nut-upsdev mailing list ( selinger at
mathstat.dal.ca ).
Anyway...
I have a Belkin Universal UPS and, having just upgraded my Fedora Core
system from 4 to 5 and had to go back through the system RC files

F6C1500-TW-RK- Success
For the record, I was able to get the following working:
Device: Belkin F6C1500-TW-RK
Driver: belkin
I tried the "belkinunv", which I use for my F6C1100-UNV, but it didn't
work. At least there was a driver that worked! :-)
Feel free to add it to the list of "tested" configs.
Thanks,
Dave

Belkin USB UPSes
I just bought a pair of Belkin USB UPSes -- F6C1200-UNV and F6C550-AVR --
and installed the latest version of nut under Ubuntu 7.04. I'm using
the F6C1200-UNV.
My system does see the device; dmesg says

Hello, all,
I had been using NUT's Ubuntu package (64 bit) with no problems until
upgrading to Ubuntu 11.04. Now, I get the following message when I try

Belkin F6C900-UNV
I have a new Belkin F6C900-UNV. I see that it's not listed in belkin-hid.c
The VendorID is 0x050d like all the Belkin UPSes, and the ProductID is 0x0900.
I haven't had a chance to actually test the development version of nut
yet, since I'm running Fedora Core 6, which still has nut 2.0.3.
`newhidups -DD -a myups` gives the error of:

Add USB vendor/device id for Belkin F6C120-UNV
I just moved my UPS over from serial to USB and found that I needed to
add it to the hotplug USB list to make things work.
Belkin F6C120-UNV
- Bus 002 Device 004: ID 050d:0912 Belkin Components
It seems to be working OK on 2.0.4 with newhidups. Attached is a patch
which I think should add the appropriate device id's in the right places
to the trunk code.

Belkin UPS, master netbook, slave MythTV server
Hi all,
I've finally gotten around to setting up the netbook that controls my
UPS and I would like to make sure that I've got the metacode correct
before configuring nut :)
Here's what I've got:

* Batteries recently replaced
* On battery: 24 port switch, PoE AP, antenna power booster, ADSL
modem, MythTV server, 19" monitor

belkin-hid: UPS.PowerSummary.BelowRemainingCapacityLimit
Peter,
Apparently, some Belkin UPSes still have problems with this. When we
receive this report through the interrupt pipeline it is ignored (the
special case in usbhid-ups.c) and even after that it looks like there
are still some problems with it:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2007-July/003014.html
Wouldn't it be an option to just to ignore this completely and
