Christmas mail
Dear NUT users and developers, A bit later than usual, here is the traditional end of the year mail to sum up the past year, think about the future and make some announcements. Those of you who have followed closely the project already know: 2008 has been a harder year than ever. And the UPS world has somehow finished a full revamp cycle, started 2 years ago! * A new sponsor: Last year,

Fwd: DeviceKit-power patches
I forgot to cc you guys on the future evolution of the HAL support (it's replacement in fact, called DeviceKit) A mailing list dedicated to DeviceKit is under creation. If some of you are interested in, just answer back. -- Arnaud ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Arnaud Quette <aquette.dev at gmail.com> Date: 2008/6/24 Subject: Re: DeviceKit-power patches To: Richard

Feedback and help in porting the NUT sysV init script to upstart
hi there, first, kudos to Scott. You guy rock with this revolutionizing (and so logic) idea ;-) next, a personal point of view about the lack of upstream adoption of upstart: I wanted to provide an upstart script for NUT for some time, but never found enough matching example to do so. the embedded scripts only address inittab, and the replacement-initscripts are unreachable (see below) and far

Model list missing my UPS, here is info for inclusion on the list
Hello Niels, thanks a lot for this compatibility submission. This is part of the remaining things at Eaton. I've added an entry to the new Hardware Compatibility List: http://new.networkupstools.org/stable-hcl.html BTW, have you tested a shutdown with this unit? Otherwise, you should! thanks again, Arnaud Quette Le samedi 02 octobre 2010 ? 12:42 +0200, Niels Kristian Jensen a ?crit :

Opensource bits from EATON
Dear users and developers, just a small mail to inform you that: * EATON protocols library is now mostly complete! UPSCode II has been published for some time now. I've just released this morning a full set for the XCP protocol (Powerware), including the general information, and Alarm / Meters maps. The MGE section was already complete for long. * some more development units have been

[nut-commits] svn commit r2504 - in branches/AsciiDoc/docs: . website
FYI, I've fixed the below error in the log, directly on the server. The "pre-revprop-change" hook is not in place, so "svn propedit / propset" do not work. 2010/8/28 Arnaud Quette > Author: aquette > Date: Sat Aug 28 00:23:05 2010 > New Revision: 2504 > URL: http://trac.networkupstools.org/projects/nut/changeset/2504 > > Log: > Fix page titles for

A new project using AsciiDoc: Network UPS Tools
Since I've heard about AsciiDoc (thanks ESR), I'm in the process of revamping the full Network UPS Tools documentation and website. Without going into the usual "it curred my desease, got my wife back home, and made me won a billion", it really saved my life ^_ ^ I was searching for such tool for years! thanks a lot Stuart and others. Kudos for the work! NUT revamp is not yet

Powerware USB issue solved (bcmxcp_usb)
Hi Greg, Thomas and the list, I've not forgotten you nor your issue. It just took some time to gather a "faulty" unit and a bit of time to reproduce your issue. The good news is that I've commited a fix to the NUT development branch (aka Subversion), in the release r2015. The bad news is that your test and feedback is welcome ;-) For more info on getting and compiling the
