Cannot get Tripplite su2200xla working on freebsd 7.1 nut 2.4.1
All: I am having a devil of a time getting nut to work on freebsd. Here is what I have done. I am trying to load the drivers, and here is my ups.conf file: [tripplite] driver=trippliteesu port=auto When I dmesg on freebsd 7.1 for my usb device: uhid0: <Tripp Lite TRIPP LITE UPS, class 0/0, rev 1.10/0.00, addr 2> on uhub0 using the usbdevs -v command: Controller /dev/usb0: addr 1:

Syslog flooding
Hello, I have a TrippLite SU2200XLA UPS with a possibly unreliable USB interface running on NUT 2.4.3. I have been working with NUT to get this working since upgrading to a web snmp card in a UPS. I keep getting seg faults when running snmp-ups also. thoughts on tripp lite Smart Online UPSs?
We're looking at replacing some old APC SmartUPS 5000s with something that has USB so NUT can more easily talk with it (and yes, I've tried USB-RS232 adapters and every one I tried started kicking out errors within a few hours). One of the bids we have is for a "Tripp Lite UPS Smart Online 5000VA 4500W Rackmount 5kVA 200V/240V" as the potential replacement unit. I have no

Typo in Samba HOWTO collection example 19.2
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Since the samba-docs mailing list is closed, I figured this was the best place to post this. I believe there's a typo in example 19.2 ("Overriding global CUPS settings for one printer") of the official Samba HOWTO collection. The "print command" parameter in the [special_printer] section contains several echo commands,

Wobbly jerkyness
About a month ago, David made a commit to wobbly to the spring engine which has introduced some bugs. They are hard to explain so bear with me. In a sense, the wobbly plugin does not seem as smooth as it used to be and the windows jerk all over the place. For example, I sometimes notice that when I move a large window (around 2/3 of the size of the desktop window), If I moved it down, the top of

[EXTERNAL] Re: UPS Losing Connection
Update from my end: I found the old thread where I posted a possible resolution for a similar issue on CentOS 7.6 with the same protocol (2012): https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2019-June/011451.html https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2019-June/007440.html Some of my initial steps were probably unnecessary, but through a combination of configuration tweaks

UPS Losing Connection
Installed a new Tripplite Smart1500LCD on a CentOS 7 host using the usb connector. Nut does connect: $upsc ups battery.charge: 100 battery.runtime: 1407 battery.type: PbAC ... But after a half hour or so the connection is lost. Restarting nut re-establishes the connection. Any idea what might be causing the dissconnection?

upsmon Poll UPS "Driver not connected" messages
I use the NUT RPM package for CentOS 6.7, which is version 2.6.5-2. I am testing implementation of NUT features with APC and Tripp-Lite USB UPS interfaces. Things are going reasonably well. However, I'm seeing many more messages than I would like in /var/log/messages when I boot the system without the UPS connected. I have configured NOCOMMWARNTIME 3600, which takes care to only broadcast

Quiet upsmon /var/log/messages chatter
Hi Larry, [please use reply-all to include the list - the NUT lists do not add a reply-to header.] On Oct 21, 2015, at 3:23 PM, Larry Baker <baker at usgs.gov> wrote: > > I use the NUT RPM package for CentOS 6.7, which is version 2.6.5-2. I admit I am not too familiar with the RH/CentOS family these days. Is there a CentOS site for keeping tabs on the NUT RPMs, or is it sufficient

[PATCH] Add option to Move for disabling server position sync on each notify
The new move plugin interface that makes the applications sync to Xserver position at each move notify, also if it could be considered important, caused - as negative point - a poor wobbly quality while moving windows... That's why some kinds of "forks" were made to disable this new feature (see the "bouge" plugin), so I decided, instead of use "another" plugin

What Happened to Compiz in (compiz-0.7.4-11.1)
This isn't a cross post. Wobbly windows seems to have changed in the last release and for the worse. On narrow windows, title bar now expands and contracts big time which has radically changed the look of the effect. If you grab the title bar on the far left or right and move it around a little bit, the corner where you grab will have exaggerated movement compared to the remainder of the

No 3D in KDE, other effects work
In Ubuntu 7.10 with KDE, I have compiz running under XGL. Although Beryl ran fine in Ubuntu 7.04, Compiz will not enable 3D effects such as wobbly windows. Other effects, such as minimize/restore animations, work properly. The machine is a Dell Inspiron 6400 / E1505 laptop, 2Ghz Intel DuoCore2, 2GB RAM, ATI X1400, 1680x1050 widescreen. What should I begin to troubleshoot? Thanks in advance.

No, it's not. I'd defer to the list for tips on that one. First thing I'd try if no one else has ideas is checking lsusb and restarting the service. 8.2 behaving weird on openSuSE 10.3 & 11.0
Listmates, I installed 8.2 on opensuse 10.3 from the opensuse XGL repository to replace 7.6. Compiz works with the nvidia 8600 GT card (512M of GDDR3) on the box, but the ctrl+alt <- -> switching behavior is really bad. In 7.6, the ctrl+alt <- -> desktop switching changed desktops crisply with just the slightest hint of the cube detected during the very short and nice switch.
