boot.stepAIC fails with computed formula
I'm trying to use boot.stepAIC for feature selection; I need to be able to specify the name of the dependent variable programmatically, but this appear to fail: In R-Studio with MS R Open 3.4: library(bootStepAIC) #Fake data n<-200 x1 <- runif(n, -3, 3) x2 <- runif(n, -3, 3) x3 <- runif(n, -3, 3) x4 <- runif(n, -3, 3) x5 <- runif(n, -3, 3) x6 <- runif(n, -3, 3) x7

boot.stepAIC fails with computed formula
SImplify your call to lm using the "." argument instead of manipulating formulas. > strt <- lm(y1 ~ ., data = dat) and you do not need to explicitly specify the "1+" on the rhs for lm, so > frm2<-as.formula(paste(trg," ~ ", paste(xvars, collapse = "+"))) works fine, too. Anyway, doing this gives (but see end of output)" bst <-

boot.stepAIC fails with computed formula
Until I get a fix that works, a work-around would be to rename the 'y1' column, used a fixed formula, and rename it back afterwards. Thanks for your help. boot.stepAIC fails with computed formula
It seems that if you build the formula as a character string, and postpone the "as.formula" into the lm call, it works. instead of frm1 <- as.formula(paste(trg,"~1")) use frm1a <- paste(trg,"~1") and then strt <- lm(as.formula(frm1a),dat) regards, Heinz Stephen O'hagan wrote/hat geschrieben on/am 23.08.2017 12:07: > Until I get a fix that works, a

I haven't been able to use my ups since upgrading to Fedora 7. The problem seems to be that when upsd is started, it doesn't create a pid file and produces the error message fopen /var/run/nut/upsd.pid: No such file or directory But I have # ls -ld /var/run/nut 8 drwxrwx--- 2 nut nut 4096 2007-08-16 16:26 /var/run/nut/ The call to upsd is /usr/sbin/upsd -DD -u nut -c reload

UPSD slow in responding
Hi, We are having a performance issue with UPSD. OUR ENVIRONMENT -------------------------- We are using a custom script on a SUN V240 server running Solaris 8. The script employs UPSC to interrogate UPSD. UPSD is configured (using upsdrvctl) to talk to two MGE Galaxy 3000 UPS's via the MGE-SNMP ups driver. Our problem is this. When the server runs the backup processes it becomes

upsd won't run
I've got persistent trouble getting nut to work, though I think I've done everything by the book (the Debian specific readme included). I've tracked it down to upsd not working as it should: it just won't keep going. :( I.e. checking the process list (or using its reload command) shows that there just isn't a upsd process, at all. Starting upsd with a few -D's for

Hi all, Have a strange behaviour that I don't know how to debug. This is when I use the Eaton PW5125 ups. I have it connected And running in standby. Starting up the drivers (pw3105 and pw5125) and they run. Start up the upsd and can read info from both of them. The 3105 is supplying the computer and the 5125 have a dummy load. The 5125 is showing that it is off line. Now when I hit the on
