Hi! I tried to pcipassthrough usb-controllers to domu to use it with a memory-stick. Encore/sundance boards?
I have this cheap "ENCORE 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter" which comes with its own driver that compiles to 'sundance.ko' and performs bad (30% packet loss) on a fully updated CentOS 4.4 box. This brand, model and driver have worked OK for me on some other CentOS installations, none of which are 4.4. Short of replacing the board, which you can bet I will do, can anybody

X100p on VIA EPIA-V problems
Hi All, I hope I'm posting this to the appriopriate list, and that cross posting to two lists is OK. (If not, I'm sure I'll hear about it quickly :)) I'm running Asterisk on my (new) VIA EPIA-V motherboard. This seems to be the ideal platform for a home version of asterisk - its small, quiet, low power, and should have plenty of computing horsepower if only it would work!

pciback.hide sundance
Hi, I am trying to set up a Xen server using two 4-port NIC cards. The exact type: D-Link DFE 580TX. There are no problems using this cards under plain linux. The driver is called ''sundance''. But when I use pciback.hide the DomU can''t access this card. I have had the same task when using the NIC BCM 5708 (NetXtreme II). I had found a message in

Xen Kernel (3.0.2) breaks b44 module
I have a new laptop (Dell 9400) that I am trying to work with Xen 3.0. Xen works fine, runs windows XP under HVM. But, the Xen kernel on Dom0 has a few problems with some of the hardware. The network card is a Broadcom 4400 10/100BaseT. Normally loading the b44 module gives this: Apr 28 20:07:53 ipanema kernel: [4294683.185000] b44.c:v0.97 (Nov 30, 2005) Apr 28 20:07:53 ipanema kernel:

PROBLEM: Filesystem became readonly, then kernel crashes on shutdown
Hi All, I just had "an issue" with my Linux 2.6.1 kernel. While working, I tried to rf -rf a directory, and was told my filesystem was mounted readonly (which it wasn't). I then shut the machine down, and on shutdown, I got a "kernel BUG at fs/ext3/super.c: 411". Full report below: Mike [1.] One line summary of the problem: Filesystem became readonly, then

Sound card problem
I came into an Abit AX8 motherboard and single core AMD Athlon 64 FX. I did a quick install of CentOS 5.0 on it to make sure everything worked and then returned the hard disk and case to the original owner. After getting a new case and hard disk, I downloaded the CentOS 5.1 cd images and installed. For some reason the motherboard's on board sound no longer works (worked with CentOS

How to check for proper MSI support?
Hi Brian, From your 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller PCI config register, it supports 1 MSI vector, so I think this card has no problem. But you didn't answer what's the pci_enable_msi() return during it enable MSI fail. You can check PCI bus whether support MSI like: cat /sys/bus/pci/devices/00:0e.0/msi_bus Other, do you call pci_enable_device() before pci_enable_msi() ? On
