routing strategies for 2 adsl setup
hi all, i have been able to find only a trickle of information concerning possible strategies for a 2 adsl setup using two different isp''s. has anyone had experience in the usa or elsewhere working with their providers to carry bgp tables, or would you recommend/implement a round-robin arrangement? how ? :-) yours sincerely christopher cuse, rhce/ccna ccuse@tiscali.fr redhat 8.0

Looking for PRI Outbound Caller ID Configuration
I'm having trouble setting the outbound caller ID on calls I make from my PRI trunk group. The PRIs are served out of a 5ESS. Telco has set the PRIs up for user provided caller id information, so I believe I just don't have it set up right in my dialplan or something. I can't seem to find an example of setting the outbound caller ID specifically for a 5ESS. Does anyone have an

Anyone using Telasip, Caller ID presentation outbound??
II noticed that Caller ID presentation is not making it to my cell phone through outound Telasip calls and I don't know why. It may very well have been this way for awhile (or always, not sure I called my cell phone during telasip testing). Does Telasip expect a different format than SetCIDNum(NXXNXXXXXX) ? It has always worked for the Teliax lines. BUT--- It doesn't have a problem

SV: Outbound Caller ID number on E1
How do you set the CallerID? Have you checked with your provider that they've enabled callerid? If yes, are you using a correct number that the provider allows? Set(CALLERID(number)=XXXXXXXXXX) works here. Also check with your VoIP provider what format they want for the number. (I believe) most accept a 10-digit number, but I seem to remember reading about the odd provider that wanted a leading "1". On Thu, Jun 18, 2015 at 11:47 AM, D'Arcy J.M. Outbound Caller ID number on E1
Hi All I am having a problem setting the outbound callerid number on a PRI E1 in South Africa. The outbound number keeps on appearing as the main PRI number. How does it work between Asterisk and the Telko? More importantly how do I get it working? outbound calls via google voice not answered by toll free numbers with ivrs
Hi All, I'm using Asterisk 1.8.2 with outbound calls using Google Voice. I've been having issues calling several toll free numbers where the call 'is ringing' but never transitions to 'answered'. These are toll free numbers which are typically answered by an ivrs where you enter eg. a conference bridge number. I searched google and the closest reported issues I found are

outbound caller ID problem on PRI
I can't seem to hide and/or set my caller ID from *. I'm using a quite recent (three weeks or so) CVS with an E400P card. I have pridialplan=unknown in zapata.conf and I'm based in the UK. The relevant bit of pri debug looks like this (reformatted to fit 80 char width): > Calling Number (len= 4) [ Ext: 0 > TON: Unknown Number Type (0) >

setting outbound caller ID
Thanks very much for all the responses. I now have a few more things to try. I should have noted that I am using IAX2 rather than SIP to connect to my provider. I do have some internal phones that use SIP to connect to my asterisk box, as well as some corded phones connected through a Digium DAHDI-driven card. I am certain that the old number that is showing up as my caller ID is not present in

Outbound call: caller gets no ringback on session progress
Hello! An extension registered at asterisk 13.23 initiates an external call (pjsip). After the Invite, the callee (-> ISP) sends a 100 Trying 183 Session Progress (*without* SDP) Asterisk now sends to the extension: 183 Session Progress (*with* SDP) 183 Session Progress (*with* SDP) (really two times) The callee meanwhile sends 180 Ringing (*without* SDP) which is
