SCCP (skinny) phone behind NAT: RTP dest addr wrong
Greetings:
I have a working configuration for SCCP on our LANS which doesn't
route RTP correctly to a skinny phone behind NAT registering from
a remote public IP.
Configuration:
asterisk 1.4.35 servicing only skinny phones trunked to
asterisk 1.2.40 which services chan_phone FXS, zap FXO
and SIP phones; both instances of asterisk are behind NAT
and run on the same host (using different base

sccp problem
Dear
I installed chan-sccp-b v3 on a powerful virtual machine, with 4 cpu cores
and 16GB RAM(enabled in kernel by PAE)
about 1,200+ clients are going to register in this machine. all data of
clients are saved in ORACLE. The asterisk (1.6.2.18) connected to the
database throw odbc(unixodbc).
all logging are disabled( verbose, debug and sccp debug) . the asterisk was
crashed every few minutes.

Difference between SCCP and Cisco Call Manager traffic?
I'm wondering about the difference between Cisco Call Manager and
SCCP(2) network traffic. I'm working on getting a Cisco 7960 phone to
speak through a NAT to an asterisk box, without having to do a bunch of port
forwarding on the NAT device.
Without the nat, everything works fine.
If the phone is behind a cisco pix that is doing the natting, it works
fine (fixup protocol).

Cisco 79xx users/consultants, 7970G color in particular share information (was: Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 3)
The documentation of how to use the 79xx series' phones and features
with Asterisk is really hard to find and put together. The higher end
phones like 7970 are more like converged PC+phone, a thin client to
telephony and network apps. But it's really hard to target it as a
development and deployment platform because the docs and techniques are
so obscure.
There seems to be a fair amount

Cisco 7960 won't dial (sccp)
I'm trying to setup a couple of Cisco 7960's in asterisk. I have asterisk
working fine for sip clients, and can call the 7960's just fine, but
I can't seem to dial out on them.
As soon as I enter the first digit, the phone attempts to dial it without
waiting for the rest. I've changed timeout settings, etc but can't seem to
get it to work. Any ideas?

SCCP questions
Hi!
I have two, not too related questions:
- the probably simpler one: if anyone can help me out using a Cisco
7905G with chan_sccp? I did already managed to get it working with a SIP
image, I'd just like to see it work with this one as well. It's probably
something I screw up with the configuration, as the phone registers,
only I don't get any lines with it, although I have it

Cisco 7940 - SCCP or SIP?
Hi All
I have recently downloaded Asterisk and was so impressed I thought I would
setup a home server and I went out and got myself a couple of cisco
7940's. (and a sipaura 3000!). thanks to various posts on this list and
the voip-info site I have managed to get chan_sccp setup and working with
the 7940's but the I tried to get the messages, services and softkeys
working. It seems

i'm looking for reference guide for Skinny SCCP
Hi all,
I'm writing my graduation theses : analysis VO-IP protocols , and I cannot
find any documents about Cisko Skinny Client Control Protocol. I have Cisco
CallManager and some IP-phone and I'm sniffing traffic between that, but I
don't understand, how this protocol works. Clearly i'm looking for
description of SCCP commands and explanation some basic SCCP scenarios or

An Cisco 7960 ipphone has been set to SCCP firmware by one of our students.

Cisco 7960 sccp, Skinny and 1.4
Hi All,
I'm thinking of creating a new asterisk server using the latest 1.4
stable release to replace my ageing Asterisk SVN-branch-1.2-r7231 (its
been a while!).
My only concern - my phones are Cisco 7960's (with sccp firmware 7.2
loaded) and to support them better, I remember compiling in a skinny(?)
driver to replace the (from what I could tell) basic in built sccp
support. After

cisco 7960 sccp firmware version?
I have some Cisco 7960's and want to use them with SCCP - I have gotten
it working with a few different firmware versions but all seem a little
flakey. I know that SCCP is not as solid as SIP but am wondering, which
firmware version is advised for use with chan_sccp from
http://chan-sccp.sourceforge.net/

Help w/ Asterisk Cisco IP phone and SCCP
I have a new asterisk installation (1.4.2) that is working fine with
SIP. Now I'm trying to add 2 cisco ip phones (7960) running SCCP
(latest chan_sccp).
I have the phones booted, and the tftp directory all setup, etc. But
the phones do not quite work right. When I lift the handset I only get
a dial-tone 1 out of 5 or so times I try, though hitting the speaker
button works. I can dial

sccp help
Hi,
I tried to connect cisco 7910 into asterisk system using chan_sccp.so.
But I got a major issue :
- when I called from 7910 to another sip phone in the same asterisk
server, the call took place normally.
- when I called from 7910 to another sip phone in different asterisk
server, the call is answered but I cannot hear nor say anything. The
phone just immediately lose its tone.

Fwd:[Vocal] Question about Cisco IP hard phones
Interesting notes on the 79xx series.
The 7920 is the wireless phone; not mentioned here.
For a more complete guide to Cisco's phones, see:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/phones/ps379/products_data_sheets_list.html
The 7902 is the "very inexpensive" Cisco phone, and it looks like it
will be SCCP (Skinny) only. Twiddling my thumbs here waiting for the
chan_sccp to
