play message on bridged call
Hey all, i was just wondering if its possible to play a prerecorded message on a bridged channel. For example : someone calls in on asterisk and is connected through to an outgoing phonenumber, the person picking up on this outgoing call would first hear something like "this call is coming from the asterisk platform". (No problem if the caller on the incoming line hears this too) I

Auto dialer scripts and software
A friend asked me for help to auto-dial and play a prerecorded message for a political campaign. I've briefly googled auto dialer scripts but haven't seen one that really stands out. Are there any free or cheap auto dial solutions that you nice folks recommend? Thanks in advance. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

applicationmap on features
I want to be able to send a prerecorded message to the person I am calling. I know that you can use the application map to do this. Just to test I enabled the testfeature example that is in the features.conf file. When I hit #9 during a call the other user does not hear the monkeys, they only hear a series of beeps. I have tried with different soundfiles and they all give the same problem.

tools for broadcasting
Hi all, I'm sending this to both lists because I want to know what both sides of the conversation think about this. For those of you on the icecast list, can I have a recommendation on the right tool to broadcast with? If you like, I'll send you my prerecorded shows, just tell me what the best way to send those is. For the audacity list now, would it be possible to develop a broadcasting

Intercepting DTMF to initiate Voice Drop
Hi, I'm trying to implement a Voice Drop service within Asterisk dial-plan. The service is supposed to work as following: 1. A initiates a call to B 2. The call is answered by B's answering machine 3. A hears the answering machine's greeting and the recording beep 4. A speaks a few words into the recording to personalize the message 5. A presses some DTMF keys (say, '##') to

ezstream question
Hi all: I am managing a radio station that has 7 streams. I am using icecast, ices and ezstream on the streams and overall it is working pretty well. One of the streams is an old time radio stream and I use ezstream to run the prerecorded shows. The streams are 128K mp3 streams. Also this station is running on a VPS using Ubuntu 14.04. My question: Is there a package or some sort of

Question about advanced IVR
Hi all, I am a fairly new * user, so please bear with me. I have been scoring the net for this info, but have had little success. I am looking for any tips and info on how to build a "information delivery" ivr app. By that I mean it will simply play prerecorded sound files and respond to key presses. Basic idea is this, 1. answer call 2. go through various standard menu's etc

Anti Ex-Girlfriend feature for entire area codes?
Hey all, Someone's posted one of my 800#'s on a poster in California for free concert tickets, so I'm getting calls from California AC's at all times of the day asking for tickets. I'm just using the 800# for friends and family, and don't know anyone in these area codes, so I'd like to just give these callers either congestion or a prerecorded message. Works fine

New to Asterisk, questions about IVR and MySQL integration
Hello list, I am new to Asterisk and have a few questions, I hope you can tell me if Asterisk can do what I need. I'd like to create a simple IVR menu that will allow people to enter prices using their telephone. Confidence interval bars on Lattice barchart with groups
I am trying to add confidence (error) bars to lattice barcharts (and dotplots, and xyplots). I found this helpful message from Deepayan Sarkar and based teh code below on it: http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/R/Rhelp02a/archive/50299.html However, I can't get it to work with groups, as illustrated. I am sure I am missing something elementary, but I am unsure what. Using R 2.1.1 on various

Need to increase call count
Hi all. I've got a project where I need to make outbound calls and play a prerecorded .wav file to the called number. So far, I've only been able to make about 15 concurrent calls before the cound quality gets poor, and I really need to increase this. I've got QoS configured to prioritize IAX2 traffic above all and my connection to the Internet is a PtoP 100Mb ethernet link.

2 questions, frame size and SPEEX_GET_LOOKAHEAD
Hi, Andras, Thanks for the comments. Yes, I am aware of those issues. I probably should have been more accurate on my usage of terms. Actually in my project, the unit collection is a mixture of diphones and words. However seems to me, these synthesizer specific issue is irrelevant to my question about speex. As you said, i merely use speex as storage methods. All I ask for is to get the

About the weather..
Ok, I've been away from the list for sometime now and feel as though I'm going to ask something that's been asked many times before, yet I find nothing in the wiki, so here goes: I notice that allison has done recordings for weather forecasts, yet I find no agi's that parse forecasts and use this recordings to piece together the forecast. I find plenty of weather agi's, but

Mixice (www.lns.com/papers/mixice) does. I have it running on FreeBSD 4.x machines for KKSF, KPFA, KFCF, etc. for a live MP3 stream (icecast 1.x.x). I will have an OGG version of it soon as we have some demand for better quality streams. compute probabilities on a Bayesian Network
Deal R Users, I'm trying to find out how can I compute probabilities on a Bayesian Network using R. The Bayesian Network I modelled is shown at http://www.dsr.inpe.br/~mello/1727/BNgrapmodel.png and I'd like to know how can I proceed (commands on R) to answer questions like: (1) what is the probability of S=T given C=T, L=T, R=F, H=F and D=F; or (2) what is the probability of S=T
