What makes TDM400 FXS Connection to TELCO go into Off Hook State?
I've been having trouble with making outbound calls to my TELCO from a TDM400 card (FXS KS signalling) after upgrading from 1.6-beta9 to 1.6.0. The problem is completely intermittent. When it fails, I get this message: [Nov 9 19:12:26] WARNING[18916] app_dial.c: Unable to create channel of type 'DAHDI' (cause 0 - Unknown) At some point, it starts working, but I don't know what

ZAP TDM and DTMF issue
Hi, I'm curious if there is any other option beside relaxdtmf in zapata , or any where else to tune dtmf detection on TDM400 fxo boards. in one of our sites provider is giving us 4 analog lines out of Adtran router and Asterisk often recognize DTMF wrong. Obviously playing with relaxdtmf was not helpfull. What do we know anout 1.2 and 1.4 DTMF handling diffrences? At this time i'm using

[Zaptel] Checking that TDM card works?
Hello Since TDM cards are known for being particular when it comes to motherboards (PCI 2.2, etc.), I was wondering if there is a utility that can check that the Zaptel driver works OK and can tell if the TDM card is compatible? That way, if an FXO module is not reporting an incoming call, we'd know it's because of the Zaptel driver, and not something elsewhere. Are "dmesg",

Hi, I'm trying to get up and running a TDM400 with a standard italian pots line but i'm having problems at getting asterisk to detect when the line get answered on outgoing calls. I'm using asterisk 1.6 beta 9 with zaptel 1.4.11. I tried with and without answeronpolarityswitch=yes but it didn't change anything at all. With callprogress=yes answer get never detected. With

[UK SPECIFIC] DAHDI and a OpenVox Card
Hi, Built a new server at the weekend and install Asterisk 1.6.0.9 and IAX and SIP work great :) The one problem I am having is getting the OpenVox (TDM400 type card) to work. It is successfully identified using WCTDM kernel module and dahdi_scan picks it up just fine. The issue is when I try and setup dahdi_channel.conf as it fails everytime. When running asterisk -rvvvv I see the port pick

Problem with busydetect and cell phones
I have a very strange problem I'm hoping someone has encountered already. I've scoured the internet for an answer to this one. My phone company provides no disconnect supervision. Hence I'm forced to use the busydetect feature. I have a TDM400 with two FXO ports. If I call from an internal extension to a landline and then hangup the landline Asterisk detects the busy signal

clone X100p+dahdi dial out works only after receiving call
So, tweaking configs, rebuilding this and that... restarting, twiddling, it works (yeah!), but fails on re-boot to work at all. Consistently, though. I believe it comes down to this: I can call out only *after* I've received a call. So, cold boot. Then: modprobe dahdi modprobe wctc4xxp modprobe wcfxo dahdi: Telephony Interface Registered on major 196 dahdi: Version: 2.1.0.3

TDM-400P + CallerID
Hi, I'm just starting out with Asterisk, in combination with a TDM400, filled with 2 FXS on channels 1 and 2, and 1 FXO on 4. Having just started, all I want right now is to be able to answer incoming calls on a phone connected to channel 1. The trouble is the caller id. I have caller id enabled on my line, my phone supports it, and when I connect the phone directly to the line, it works.

dahdi & tdm400p: no luck
As best i could figure it out, I've installed dahdi and rc4. My TDM400P doesn't answer fxo or fxs. /etc/dahdi/system.conf: loadzone = us defaultzone=us fxoks=1,2 fxsks=4 /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf: [house-phones] context=internal ; Uses the [internal] context in extensions.conf signalling=fxo_ks ; fxo_ks Use FXO signalling for an FXS chanel dahdichan => 1 ;

dahdi-channels.conf -v- chan_dahdi.conf
Some recent issues I had with hardware seem to come back to not understanding two very similarly named files: /etc/asterisk/dahdi-channels.conf /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf I've modified the chan_dahdi.conf to work now, but it would appear all I needed to do was include dahdi-channels.conf in chan_dahdi.conf and the problem would not have persisted? Is it me or is that a bit Monty Python?

TDM analog cards, volume, echo, fxotune, ztmonitor and HPEC
Hi, everyone: I am developing a system using Asterisk, TDM-400 analog cards, analog lines, and Polycom SIP phones for internal extensions. Initially there was bad echo but after a series of efforts, I've managed to reduce it to a negligible level (it only happens when both parties speak simultaneously, and even there, only for a few hundred milliseconds). From an echo standpoint, things are

Something wrong with DAHDI signalling according to the CLI
I have Asterisk 1.4.24 en a Digium TDM410 with EC and with 3 FXO modules. When I plug one PSTN-line into a FXO-port I am able to receive calls on this line and I can also make calls from an internal SIP-phone to the external PSTN-network. Still I am bothered about something that appears on the CLI when I do a reload chan_dahdi.so : asterisk*CLI> reload chan_dahdi.so -- Reloading module

I have correctly connected the power supply to the card and I have even tried moving the card from slot 1 to 2 on the board. Below is from the console when I try to route a call from FXO on

Problems with Digium TDM400 card
I had a working Asterisk 1.4.24.1 installation on SUSE 9 Linux but SIP only. I then downloaded and installed latest Zaptel and could not get Zaptel working. So I downloaded Asterisk again and re-installed. But still problems: Here is my ztcfg output: asterisk:/etc/asterisk # ztcfg -vvvvv Notice: Configuration file is /etc/zaptel.conf line 4: Unable to read Zaptel version information. Zaptel

TDM400 native bridge echo
I have a TDM400 with an FXS and FXO interface. I have adjusted the TX and RX gain for both the FXS and FXO channels so that everything is balanced. I hear myself very loudly with no lag. I also get alot of background noise when the bridge is formed between the FXS and FXO channels. I have read the following articles: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+echo+cancellation

TDM cards and Asterisk
I have put a box together using 2 X100P and 2 TDM400 4port cards. Using the simple setup that Martin posted a few days ago, I have asterisk almost up and running. /etc/zaptel.conf fxsks=1-2 fxoks=3-10 loadzone=nz defaultzone=nz (I have added NZ tone information to zaptel and Asterisk - I'll submit a patch soon). /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf [channels] context=incoming signalling=fxs_ks

Channels configuration with DAHDI
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all! Days ago I bought a OpenVox A400P card with a port FXS and another FXO that I am testing with my Asterisk installation in my house. I'm using Asterisk 1.4.24.1 with DAHDI Linux 2.1.0.4 and DAHDI Tools 2.1.0.2 on Debian GNU/Linux Lenny. I was reading "The future of telephony" and this [1] document looking for information about
