Help with IP Routing
Hello, ? I'm in a bit of a fix. We have a particular Windows based softswitch which is has its SIP and H323 ports hardcoded to listen on a particular IP address. The problem is that the ISP is having major issues and we can no longer depend on them for service. The softswitch will not listen on any other IP address and this can not be fixed. I was thinking of creating a NAT network wherein we

CentOS vs. Nokia Phones
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have been trying to access my Nokia 6230 using a DKU-2 data cable from CentOS, with some weird results. Interesting thing is that I have VMWare installed on this machine and, if I install the Nokia Suite inside it, it can access the phone without problems. So all hardware related parts are working. Anyway, kernel load the cdc_acm module, and gives

OOT: itegno gsm modem + gnokii + playsms
Hi all, sorry for the OOT. I've been trying to setup a sms gateway for a couple of sleepless nights now. I use Itegno 3000 USB gsm modem, gnokii sms manager, and playsms a web interface for sms http://freshmeat.net/projects/playsms/ on FC4. Here's what happen: 1. Using minicom, I can send sms 2. Using xgnokii (x interface of gnokii), I can send sms 3. Using playsms, I CANNOT send sms, it

Re: [Asterisk] GSM access
Hi Mark Did you or anyone else ever find a satisfactory solution to this? Are there any phones which provide voice through the serial connection? What about the nokia card phone - does it have open source drivers? asterisk and gnokii on same server: scratchy sound
Hi, Has anyone tried to use gnokii to send/receive SMS messages via serial or USB with AT commands while running Asterisk? Some of my calls have a "scratchy sound" once in a while. It doesn't seem to be due to packet loss but some kind of interference (CPU is ok, etc.). I've noticed some coincidence in time between this scratchy sound and the gnokii process. I have a bash

Help making gnokii (cvs version) rpm for CentOS 5
Hi, I'm trying to package gnokii (using FC6 SRPM as base). I can build it without problems, my problem is that I want to upgrade it from CVS version. I download the cvs version (from cvs, because "current" tar.gz appears to be broken) but ... ?How can I convert this CVS version to a "peseudo release" to make a diff from 0.6.14 and add the patch into the SOURCES? Thanks

5.9, GNOKII, SMS and Huawei [ E160G | E176 ]
Hi I want to setup a SMS system for Nagios on a 5.9 box. I read in a blog that the two modems Huawei [ E160G | E176 ] work with 6.3. Anybody any experience with those modems and do they work with 5.9? Are there any other devices that are better/recommended? normalizing data for low kurtosis
To run my data in another program my data cannot exceed a kurtosis of 0.8. I'm wondering if there is a package that can determine if the kurtosis for a trait is equal to or greater than 0.8 and then determine the appropriate normalizing methods to reduce the kurtosis to less than 0.8. I would also need to have record of what normalizing procedures were done for each trait Katherine Willmore

Searching for packages for normalizing Metabolomic data
Hi everybody, I am a beginner in the steps of pre-processing and data analysis of non-targeted metabolomic profiling experiments. Anyone knows if there exists some tool for normalizing this type of data (raw data or XCMS matrix data) in R repositories? Many thanks in advance. normalizing prizes to a specific year - how to?
Dear list I have a large data frame with house prices. Prices have been converted to price per m2, to be able to compare. Prices are spread over almost 10 years, each price is tagged with the year it relates to. I would like to 'normalize' all the prices to, eg. 2010 prices. The data frame looks like this > head(dafP) Y P 1 2004 11199.60 2 2005 15310.10 3 2005 19491.50 4

PDF with computationally expensive normalizing constant
Hi I am writing some functionality for a multivariate PDF. One problem is that evaluating the normalizing constant (NC) is massively computationally intensive [one recent example took 4 hours and bigger examples would take much much longer] and it would be good allow for this in the design of the package somehow. For example, the likelihood function doesn't need the NC but (eg) the

Normalizing linear regression slope to intercept
I am wondering if it possible to normalize the slope of a linear regression to its intercept to allow for valid between-group comparisons. Here is the scenario: I need to compare the slopes of biomass increase among NAFO divisions of Northwest Atlantic cod. However, the initial division biomass is a confounding factor that may influence the slope of the regression model. How can I normalize the

Rhino Channel Bank or ADIT 600
I am forklifting a Merridian option 51c with 112 Nortel Digital Handsets and 400 analog units. For the analog units I have quotes for 9 ADIT 600 48 port fxs units and 17 Rhino 24 port FXS channel banks. I have used neither. Which is the best choice? The price difference is not that great. I am looking at Citelinks 24 port Handset Gateway for the Nortel Digital units. (Any other suggestions

acts_as_taggable - adding users and normalizing tags
Hey all, I''m wondering how people are using acts_as_taggable. Two things I''d like to do that aren''t supported out of the box are tag normalization and user attribution. I can''t imagine I''m the first to think about doing this. >From a schema perspective these things both seem simple, just put the normalized tag in the tags table, and have a join

Normalizing plot tick values
Hi, I have a plot whole tick values along the axis have a certain range 0 - x . I need to normalize this range without changing my data files. for e.g., if my plot has tick values at 10,20,30,40,50... i have to make this 2,4,6, etc. but without changing the plot data... I am hoping I can add something to the plot command that goes like tick values divided by a quantity. Any help is appreciated.

normalizing affy data caused an error

Did anyone experience similar problems? Thanks, Thomas > PI <- ReadAffy() > PI AffyBatch object size of arrays=712x712 features (14 kb) cdf=ATH1-121501 (??? affyids) number of

normalizing data sets
Hi, Can someone tell me how to normalize a data set so that the mean of the set is 0 and the variance is 1. As I understand, when you calculate the principle components of a data set through correlation as < princomp( dataset, cor=T ) > then a similar calculation is performed. I would like to know how I can perform such a calulation directly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many
