Hi Mark Did you or anyone else ever find a satisfactory solution to this? Are there any phones which provide voice through the serial connection? What about the nokia card phone - does it have open source drivers? Almost evey GSM manufactor has these kind of modules. Ericsson: GM25, DM20,.. Siemens: TC35 (http://www.siemens-mobile.com/cds/frontdoor/0,2241,hq_en_0_2220_rArNrNr NrN,00.html) http://www.roundsolutions.com/gsm-modem/index.htm David -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] Namens Robert Murray Verzonden: maandag 24 november 2003 2:03 Aan: Mark Spencer CC: asterisk@marko.net Onderwerp: [Asterisk-Users] Re: [Asterisk] GSM access Hi Mark Did you or anyone else ever find a satisfactory solution to this? The only solution I found, was a siemens phone, but when I dialled Siemens, they didn't know what I was alking about, so I gave up.> What about the nokia card phone - does it have open source drivers?I friend of mine had the windoze SDK, but he couldn't find any method of transmitting audio. roy

Yes, call control is via serial rs232 and voice is analog interface. a couple of links where the interfaces are described for the siemens module: http://www.cnetek.net/zlxz/Interface_E/TC3x_Interface_v0310.pdf http://www.conigma.com/downloads/siemens/TC35T/tc35t_hd_01_v0300a_268766 .pdf David -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] Namens Max Tulyev Verzonden: maandag 24 november 2003 12:06 Aan: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Onderwerp: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Re: [Asterisk] GSM access ? ????????? ?? 24 ?????? 2003 10:21 David Luyens ???????:> Almost evey GSM manufactor has these kind of modules. > Ericsson: GM25, DM20,.. > Siemens: TC35 > (http://www.siemens-mobile.com/cds/frontdoor/0,2241,hq_en_0_2220_rArNr > Nr > NrN,00.html)And can it extract from GSM channel GSM encoded voice, just to not making recoding? -- ? ?????????, ?????? ?????? Hi All Maybe this would be a beter solution, but you may have to buy directly from them http://www.artech.com.tw/html/gx100e/gx100e.htm Robb --- Original Message --- From: David Luyens <d@vt4.net> Sent: Mon, 24 Nov 2003 14:14:10 +0100 To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Re: [Asterisk] GSM access> Yes, call control is via serial rs232 and voice is analog interface. > a couple of links where the interfaces are described for the siemens > module: > http://www.cnetek.net/zlxz/Interface_E/TC3x_Interface_v0310.pdf > http://www.conigma.com/downloads/siemens/TC35T/tc35t_hd_01_v0300a_268766 > .pdf > > David > > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com > [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] Namens Max Tulyev > Verzonden: maandag 24 november 2003 12:06 > Aan: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com > Onderwerp: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Re: [Asterisk] GSM access > > > ÷ ÓÏÏÂÝÅÎÉÉ ÏÔ 24 îÏÑÂÒØ 2003 10:21 David Luyens ÎÁÐÉÓÁÌ: > > > Almost evey GSM manufactor has these kind of modules. > > Ericsson: GM25, DM20,.. > > Siemens: TC35 > > (http://www.siemens-mobile.com/cds/frontdoor/0,2241,hq_en_0_2220_rArNr > > Nr > > NrN,00.html) > > And can it extract from GSM channel GSM encoded voice, just to not > making > recoding? > > -- > ó õ×ÁÖÅÎÉÅÍ, > íÁËÓÉÍ ôÕÌØÅ× (MT6561-RIPE, 2:463/253@FIDO) > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users >
Hello! AFAIK, gnokii utility has this command: {--call|-c} {all|voice|fax|data} Never really touch this, JFYI. And yet, there is always available analog sound channel via jack for external mic/phone. Ah, btw, there are also non-portable GSM-phones like Nokia 22 and some Siemens (the latter maybe available as PCI cards), these phones are already equipped with both mic/ph jack and off-hook connector. http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,46448,00.html http://www.siemens-mobile.com/cds/frontdoor/0,2241,hq_en_0_954_rArNrNrNrN,00.html On Mon, 24 Nov 2003, Robert Murray wrote:> Hi Mark > > Did you or anyone else ever find a satisfactory solution to this?
