Ongoing problem with 1.8
I have tried installing many of the beta versions and most of the
release versions of 1.8. I have 3 SIP phones which we use for all our
calls. After installing 1.8 the first thing I try is calling out port
one of my Digium TDM04 back into port 2. I can see that the call
comes in and tries to call all three SIP phones but the phones never
ring. Eventually the call goes to voice mail and these

(no subject)
Hello everyone! I'm planning on setting up a new system shortly and
can't pick the right card... We will have 2 or 3 lines coming in and
7 extensions (GXP2k's). Should I just get 2 or 3 X100P cards? Or do
I need the Sangoma A20200 or even the A20200D (Echo cancelation)...
I was thinking I'd use a Dell 2.0 GHz machine as the server... If
anyone has suggestions as to

TDM400p reliability
What are peoples experience with the reliability of the TDM400p. Specifically in the 2 FXO, 2 FXS configuration, which is the 022 (?) model.
Is this board prone to random failures?

PRI echo issues: solvable?
Hello,
After solving the other "low hanging fruit" audio issues in our Asterisk
PBX, we are left with occasional cases of severe echo which we have not
found a solution for yet.
Our system:
- Asterisk 1.2.0-beta1
- TE110P on a PRI
- TDM04 and TDM40, but these are unrelated to current echo issues
- Fedora core 3
- Echo canceller KB1
Most calls have minimal, acceptable echo levels. But

So far.... so good but then when i do :

Jetway, Atom, and Digium cards - play well together?
Hi,
I'd like to know from other people's experience using Asterisk and Digium
cards like the TDM410P and B410P on Atom system (.e. giwth D525 CPU) and
Jetway motherboards. Any operational instability, unexpected freezes, etc
or in your experience it's a stable combination?
Thanks in advance for any sharing!
Rgds.

Two TDM04 with Poweredge
Has anyone on this list succesfully managed to get two (or more) TDM04
(with four FXO each) working on a Dell PowerEdge server? If so, which
model? Was it a hassle? I'm doing a seven-line installation and a
callbank seems like overkill, I just don't want to get suck with a
PowerEdge that gets into an IRQ mess.
Thanks in Advance,
Tom Hayden

New Asterisk build
Hello Asterisk,
Back in 2009 I built a small Intel Atom based computer running
Centos 5 for my asterisk system. 5 phones, 2 people 1 POTs
line and six or so SIP numbers. So basically no load. I'm
feeling like it's time to build another machine. It's probably
silly, but it's been six years and I can't upgrade the OS
which is falling behind. I'd likely just put

Digium stopped TDM400P production: alternatives??
Hi,
Digium stopped to produce TDM400P and the new TDM410 is too new to find
it in our shops. The only alternative available is a "fully-compatible"
Openvox product...but is it really "fully-compatible"? Any experience
about Openvox products (card and zaptel versions, etc...)?
Thank you!
Giorgio.

Newbie question
I have an ATA-186 in a SIP configuration (following Shawn Djernes
how-to), but I get the following error at the asterisk console when I
try to call the phone connected to the ATA:
ioctl(ZT_LOADZONE) failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Failed to register zone 'United States / North America': No data
available
Everything works if I remove indications.conf from /etc/asterisk -

bug in shorewall shorewall-2.1.7-1 rpm??
Hi!
I installed shorewall shorewall-2.1.7-1 on a newly installed box.
When using 1.4 versions I could enable shorewall in ntsysv, now shorewall
doesn''t show up in ntsysv?
I am running shorewall on a RedHat Enterprise Linux rebuild
(www.taolinux.org).
Is this a bug or a feature?

Kirk IP600/3 Wireless Server SIP config
Hi list!
Is anyone using the Kirk IP600/3 with SIP firmware connected to Asterisk?
Any experiences / caveats?
If anyone would be willing to share the dump of their IP600 config file,
i would really appreciate it.
Is there anything special i should put in my asterisk config?
Thanks !!!

Kernel downgrade?
Hi list!
I've been bitten by a bug in the latest kernel 2.6.9-34.EL and I already
removed the old kernel.
Are old kernels retained at any place? I need to go back to 2.6.9-22.02
but where can I find it? In the Centos 4.3 directory I find only the
latest kernel, not the older ones?
Thanks!!

DAHDI aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhh :((((
The information (or lack of it) on upgrading from zaptel to that
@&*^QW%&^%!!! dahdi is very frustrating.
I cannot find anything on how to uninstall zaptel, i found an earlier post
to this list which suggested make uninstall and make remove in the zaptel
directory which just generates errors and does nothing (on zaptel 12.1).
Then i install dahdi-linux and dahdi-tools and i want to

[Announce] Samba 4.1.19 Available for Download
I show the file size as 19M on the FTP site.
95MB is the gunzipped size. I suspect something unzipped it as it
downloaded, I've seen browsers do that.
I also pulled the file personally, and found the sizes lined up:

GSM Gateway behind SIP ATA?
I have an analog GSM Gateway that is connected to a normal SIP ATA device.
Basically what it does is this : when you call the extension nr. of the
SIP ATA port, the GSM Gateway will pick up the phone and presents a (new)
dial tone, and then dials whichever DTMF tones it received. The SIP ATA ia
a Grandstream HT286.
I would like to use the GSM Gateway to route my outbound cellular calls,

DAHDI
I finally decided it's been long enough using my ancient HP junker
and I built a Atom 330 based machine to replace it. I've installed
Centos 5, Dahdi and Asterisk 1.6.2.
After a bit of struggles getting the 1.2 version files converted to
1.6 almost everything seems to be working.
All my SIP lines seem to work and calls come in as expected and all
my DAHDI lines work with incoming

Routing inomcing TightVNC connections?
Hi!
I have this rule to allow incoming VNC connections to a host on my
private LAN:
DNAT net:$SITE1 loc:$JOHN tcp 5900:5910
This works perfectly the host can connect without problems.
Would it be possible to link the internal host to an external ip?
For example if Site1 would connect on the VNC port, all traffic gets
forwarded to loc:$JOHN. But if net:$SITE2 connects

Card loading order...
I am having a problem with a couple servers. They both have a Digium
TE110P and a TDM04B card. I have setup the system so the TE110P uses channels
1-31 and the TDM04B 32-35. The problem is that when we reboot the server
sometimes the TDM04B is recognized first and the TE110P second so the
configuration fails.
I do not know why this happens and to solve this I have to do a "service

Red Alarm TE110P
Hi!
I'm trying to setup a Wildcard TE110P with a PRI in The Netherlands.
I get a Red Alarm on the line.
Is there any way of debugging this? I've tried some configs that should
work but without success. Is there any way of telling if the cabling is
correct or what else the problem could be?
Thanks!!
