Asterisk, GalaxyVoice and Humble Pie
Hi all,
Firstly I need to apologise for some comments I made regarding GalaxyVoice
and their service/abilities. Having opened another dialog with them they
were more than willing to help out and tollerate abuse of their system
whilst testing.
Secondly I'd like to thank my anonymous friend without whom I would have
never been able to get this going.
Thirdly, I GOT IT TO WORK!! Below is the

Dialplan mapping for multiple outbound providers to determine best rates
Hello All,
Right now I have several providers. Voipjet, Teliax, and more recently
Broadvoice.
Broadvoice gives me unlimited to europe, but what I want to do is
determine the best way to setup a dialplan so for example, certain
countries will go through the cheapest route.
I am really only interested in Poland, Russia and Turkey. Poland is free
on broadvoice, but not for cellular, which I may

Printing under Wine - Mission Impossible? (solved)
I finally compiled latest 20021031 tar.gz myself with cups development deb
package installed and finally got cups to work. I also send a note to the
daily deb maitainer to ask him and "why not" suggest him to include this
feature. Hopes he does :)

New user - problem getting dtmf tones through VOIP providers?
Just setting up Asterisk. I'd like to be able to dial
out through VOIP providers and have customers type in
a code in response to a prompt.
So far, I've been able to set things up to make the
call and play the prompt. However, my problem now is
the DTMF tones; they don't register when I call
get_data. When I make a call in person (from the DIAX
softphone, through a VOIP provider,

to china: good voip service providers?
Dear list,
I've been looking for a voip service provider with inexpensive and high-
quality call service to China. However, the providers I've tried
(voipjet, exgn, voxee) all have long to super-long latencies on calls to
China.
Has anyone found a service with good connections to China? Please
share!
John
PS: I'm trying out this 'didww.com' service for the first time

Configure Voipjet.com content in Asterisk
Hi,
I am Chandramouli from India. I have successfully implemented Intercom (Dialling within my office LAN) and Voicemail features using Asterisk. To implement this, I am using X-Lite Softphone.
Now, I wish to make calls to US using VoIP Asterisk. I dont think I need any external hardware to implement pure VoIP solution.
Here I am sending my configuration file values:

More jitter buffer questions
I've been trying to resolve some quality issues and I was hoping
someone might be able to provide some insight.
To give you an idea the calls are coming in via a SIP DID and sent out
via an IAX2 connection. Latency to both the SIP equipment and IAX
equipment are around 80ms with 0 packet loss accoridng to ping tests.
The server is located in a data centre so bandwidth is not an issue.

IAX2 Channels & Bandwidth
Hi all,
I'm using VOIPJET to make international calls with an IAX2 connection
between my local asterisk server and their server(s).
At times I seem to have a problem if 5 or more international calls are made
at once - I'm on a 1024kbps download and 256kbps upload DSL line (only the
asterisk server uses this DSL line). Today I switched the codec from ulaw
to ilbc in an attempt to lower

Text formatting string problem
Howdy,
Running a FPGA design tool (Actel's Designer), I find that it works
pretty good, but that certain printed status strings are being formatted
incorrectly. It does not seem to affect the operation of the
application, except for the status reports.
For example, running
wine --debugmsg +text,+string,+win /d/Actel/bin/designer
and opening an existing design gives this:

VoipJet Terms of Service
I've heard good things about VoipJet here, so I was going to set up an
account. Then I noticed their Terms of Service here:
https://www.voipjet.com/tos.php
Several things there are very concerning to me, and I'm interested in
what other people here think of them.

financial, or government matters -- as well as any

missing cdr records
I am experiencing a very wired problem.
Some of my cdr are lost.
I use logging cdr to csv, mysql and odbc. But some of them are lost. They miss in csv mysql and odbc, so i'm pretty sure it is related to asterisk functioning.
I am running asterisk 1.0.7; this is simple configuration file:

VoipJet TOS (was Teliax and also LiveVoip)
One would assume they have better things to do as they are quite busy.
I think this is just a proactive measure meaning they say you cannot do
it upfront so that in the event of a problem, it was predeclared. As to
the rest of the TOS, I could be wrong but I got the impression that the
owner of VoipJet speaks English as a second language due to some email
exchanges. If that is the case, the TOS
