Re: running TextAloudMP3
Hello I've succeeded running older version ov TextAloud on my machine (to some extend). It means that now I can type my registration code in the application and continue with running TextAloud. Later at some moment it ties to use TTS engines and then it shows the message that TTS engine isn't installed. I've installed AT&T Natural voices in TextAloud directory and have instructed

Bad EXE format for
I'm using Wine 0.9.11~winehq1-1 on Debian Sid. I've been trying to install IE6 and MS Office 2000 for the last few days. As a side note, the only way I managed to install IE6 was through Sidenet. No luck with any other method (reg files, winetools...) Office 2000 installs, but when I try to run the program it says: warn:module:load_dll Failed to load module

Getting Rosetta Stone language software to work
Hi, I'm trying to run a software package called Rosetta Stone (It's a language training package) Anyway this is the closest match in the AppDB http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=2497 Though my version is 2.0.8.1N The catch of this software in general is that the CD needs to be in the drive for it to work. I got them to send me a version where this isn't true, but in

Problems with Sanitarium
Well, I found this *old* game in my closet the other night, and wondered if Wine could play it.The APPDB entry (http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=4089) has it on Gold status, and I was quite happy. Install worked fine, but, once I started the game, I found some problems. One problem, not just found in Sanitarium, but also in other games, is that when a Video Scene is playing, the

Need help setting up EAC in Wine
Hello list! I'm trying to use EAC here with more or less success. I'm having problems with my CD-Rom. My Wine version is 0.9.10. I'm using ide-cd with kernel 2.6.16. So I tell EAC to use the "Native Win32 interface for Win NT/2000/XP" as SCSI interface. I believe that makes use of Wine's native ntdll.dll which in turn uses SG_IO which is what I want :) When starting

Why is smbd looking for Kerberos principal cifs/host@DOMB when it is a member of DOMA?
Your config looks ok, as far i can tell. This : "cifs/kvm7246-vm022.maas.local at TC84.LOCAL" As it should spn/hostname.fqdn at REALM nothing wrong with that. But if i understand it right. Your server : kvm7246-vm022.maas.local is in REALM : TC83.LOCAL ( NTDOM:TC83 ) But you get TC84 back?. On the problem server run the following: dig a kvm7246-vm022.maas.local @IP_of_AD-DC

Installing a program with ies4linux
I'm under the assumption that I could use ies4linux to enable html in programs if I install the program with them. However, I have no idea how to do it. I have downloaded/installed ies4linux already (and installed ie6). I'd like to know since the program I am trying to get html in (RealOne Player) works fine, but when Gecko tries to load html it crashes and burns, and I was hoping this

0.9.49's libwine "fix" broke my "system wide install" kludge...
Short version: I'd like help in configuring the registry as described in Section 3.2.4 to allow for system wide installs. 0.9.49's libwine 'fix' plugged a security hole I was happily using to achieve the same effective result. Thanks! Eric Long version: I'm using wine to run a copy of Quicken and want a single install of this program to be available to multiple users (i.e.

MS Project and IE trusted zone
MS Project 2003 seems to mostly work in Wine RC1 but it needs to use a html renderer to do anything useful. The problem is that whatever it uses need to be in the trusted zone in the Internet Explorer options which I don't know how to access. I tried to install IEs4Linux but that installs into its own wine environment ~/.ies4linux/ie6/ instead of ~/.wine/ so Project can't get use the
