Problem with building dahdi-linux RPM
Hello folks. First of all, sorry for my English :-) I want to build dahdi-2.0.0 rpm from source (i have to use this version, because OpenVox A1200p driver works only with it). I've made some changes in .spec file (added one patch and one source section) and trying to build rpm: rpmbuild --define with-udev -bb SPECS/dahdi-linux.spec Executing(%prep): /bin/sh -e /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.86801 +

dahdi/DTMF problem
I posted about this before without ever finding a solution, so I'm trying again. I am upgrading from Fedora 8, asterisk-1.4.21, and zaptel 1.4.11 to Fedora 11, asterisk-1.6.1 and dahdi-2.1 . I have a couple of VOIP phones via SIP and one Wildcard TDM400P REV I with 3 FXS and one FXO port. I am using the same extensions.conf with as few mods as possible. Obviously I have had to convert from a

Trying to understand Suspend 2
I am trying to understand Suspend 2 and what I have to do to get it working in Centos 5. There is quite a bit for it at ATrpms: http://www.atrpms.net/dist/el5/hibernate-suspend2/ http://www.atrpms.net/dist/el5/kernel-suspend2/ The later is the kernel patches that they refer to at the Suspend2 website, so I don't have to recompile the kernel? I noticed that over at:

Anyone using fuse and/or sshfs under Centos 4.4?
Hi A search of google failed to show any prebuilt rpms for sshfs and fuse. I do see that fuse support is in 2.6.14 kernel which isn't a whole lot of help. Before I dive headlong into this has anyone successfully built fuse/sshfs against Centos 4.4. If so would you share your experience? Thanks Daveh

FW: zaptel 1.4.0 on Fedora Core 6 x86_64
I tried to test Asterisk 1.4 on FC6 x86_64. I have it working on FC5 x86_64 very good, but since FC keeps updating, I tried to follow newer kernel versions. I can't pass the zaptel compilation. Everything is OK, but when I finished, and tried to load it, allways got module not found when I run modprobe zaptel, and modprobe ztdummy. I already tried to modify is with the sed 1 option but

[UK SPECIFIC] DAHDI and a OpenVox Card
Hi, Built a new server at the weekend and install Asterisk 1.6.0.9 and IAX and SIP work great :) The one problem I am having is getting the OpenVox (TDM400 type card) to work. It is successfully identified using WCTDM kernel module and dahdi_scan picks it up just fine. The issue is when I try and setup dahdi_channel.conf as it fails everytime. When running asterisk -rvvvv I see the port pick

I have this old memory that the kernels used are a hodge podge of backports etc. So for a kernel-smp-2.6.9-55.0.9.EL should I use 0.4.10? Quoted from http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Download: The latest stable releases can be found here. Currently this is version 0.4.10 for kernels <= 2.6.15, version 0.6.7 for kernel 2.6.16, version 0.7.4 for kernel 2.6.17, version 0.10.6 for kernels >=

madwifi on Centos 5.2, kernel 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5
Hello, I just installed Centos 5.2 on my wife's IBM thinkpad T41 with Atheros wireless. It looks like I need to install madwifi to get the wireless to work. Our home wireless network uses WPA2 I found the EL5 rpms at atrpms, but there is no madwifi-kmdl rpms for kernel 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5. So, to get the wireless working on my home network, what's the shortest path from here? Install

Asterisk 1.6 dahdi only?
New to Aserisk 1.6 and find the 'installation tutorials' seem low to non existent. You go to the main Asterisk page (digium.org) and really just old install instructions for 1.2 are in the examples. Download links only give you asterisk itself and not dahdi or libpri which also are needed to run asterisk? It's very confusing to anyone who is new. Someone take notice! we need a link

Run script action when Dahdi phone goes off-hook?
Hi, Long story short - I have an ancient Britsh Telecom phone attached to my Asterisk PBX via Dahdi. It works beautifully, receiving calls, and the call quality is excellent. However, dialling out is impossible, as Asterisk consistently mis-reads the number of pulses the dial sends (it could be a squiffy dial, I'm not sure). Not to mention the fact that, in today's modern "want

New CentOS 5 repo: dahdi, asterisk, freepbx RPMs
Dear list, I've set up an RPM repository with several asterisk-related RPMs that I think contain some improvements upon what are already out there. The first goal is to be able to build an Asterisk + FreePBX system on CentOS 5 with the EPEL repo enabled; in our environment, where all our systems are under configuration management, either an appliance-type solution or a manual

Best way to get dahdi status
I'm creating an app that needs to read the status of all dahdi spans and channels, etc. (whatever is needed to tell a user the state of their DAHDI connections). What is the best way to do that? I see dahdi-tools available from the command line, asterisk CLI commands, and AMI commands. What is the best way to get the status at a detail level? -------------- next part -------------- An

DAHDI volume
Is there a reasonably easy way to increase the volume on a DAHDI channel? The VOIP phones in the house work OK, but for the phones connected to DAHDI channels on a Digium TDM400P card, the volume is very low and it's hard to hear if there is any background noise at all. If this is documented, point me to where and I'll gladly do my reading. Thanks, --Greg
