I've been trying to get the hang of Agents and Queues and I must say
its a little unclear as to how things work.....
So maybe someone has some better idea....

Agents have been deprecated and are going to be removed.
The replacement, is some complex dialplan using "Local Channels" which
the admin will have to dream up for themselves.
I'm quite happy to use some new method, but I don't really understand
how yet as all the docs I can find point to using agents....
Ideally I need to be able to

RES: AgentLogin / AgentCallbackLogin transfer pro blem
Hmm i found the problem... I?m using a Grandstream BT100. The transfer just
works in a queue if I first acknowledged the call using the # key, and then
press the TRANSFER key in the Grandstream.
In the asterisk console I receive a:
-- SIP/4002-4563 acknowledged
Then I can transfer the call... Weird because i?m using ackcall=NO in
agents.conf ...

AgentLogin / AgentCallbackLogin transfer pro blem
Which kind of transfer do you use?
Try using the # transfer.
Hope that helps..

AgentLogin / AgentCallbackLogin transfer problem
Hello guys,
I?m running Asterisk CVS-HEAD-02/01/05-12:22:46 and having a problem with
call transfers using the cmds AgentCallBackLogin and AgentLogin
First Case (using cmd AgentCallbacklogin):
When the incoming call comes and enters the queue, the agent logged
in answer the call. But when I try to transfer this call to another agent,
the incoming call is dropped. I don?t receive any error

installing asterisk for Ubuntu Synaptic
I have an Ubuntu system and went into Synaptic and checked asterisk for
installation. Once installed, I started it with /usr/sbin/asterisk -vvvgc
and got the following output with several errors and notices. Do I need to
do more or are these ok? I expected to have some conf files in
/etc/asterisk but there is nothing there.
Thanks!

Know who's logged in
Hi all,
For those of you people that use Agents (with Agentlogin, not
AgentCallbackLogin) on a call center, I have this need: when the agent
logs in, a channel keeps running all the time that the agent is logged
in to receive the incoming calls. How do I know which agent logged in
(code)? Right now, if I query the login channel, there is no information
about which agent is logged on:

Problems with agent dynamic login
Hi folks,
I'm running asterisk 1.2.10 and I need to use agent dynamic login. I
read some doc and follow some tutorials but the agents can't login into
the queue. Asterisk ask to me to dial the password agent and after
this, it doesn't do nothing ( it doesn't tell login ok or login
incorrect..). In the * console if I do show agents, any agent are logged.
Any help will be

AgentCallbackLogin - invalid extension
As I understand it, you'd enter the extension at which you wish to be called
back at, your 9665 has nothing to do with it.
Instead of dialling 28 you could dial 9665 and that would add that SIP phone
as an agent to the cytelcs queue.

Queue and Dial operation - Common Variables?
Hi All,
I am trying to implement ACD using Asterisk 1.2.18 and I've chosen
AgentCallbackLogin for login purpose. One AGI is written which will actually
get executed when agent dials '1001' (say) from his SIP phone and enters
into the queue. Second AGI gets executed when the Dial operation is
performed. I see the agi_uniqueid obtained from both AGI instances are
different and I

BLF and asterisk Queue
Copying to asterisk-users, as it's of use there too.
I copied this code years ago from the net, it may have been modified
since...
This however is only used by managers, as it allows the manager to log a
user in and out.
For agent logged in/out status:
where 8501 is the queue number and 8512 is the agent's extension, and
SIP0001 is the agent's device.

Queue Questions
I am having a problem with the Call Queue Feature.
If I let a user into the Queue prior to an agent being available for
them to take the call, they experience the following:
1) they hear that they are the first in line
2) when the agent finally logs in (the caller on hold in the
queue is sent to the users phone)
3) the AGENT is still in the login phase hearing that they are
"successfully

agent logoff
I am using AgentCallbacklogin to logon agents. I am trying to avoid agents being logged in more than once in different extensions (is this a bug?) by passing the callerid to the AgentCallbacklogin funtcion as an option. The problem is that by doing this, agents are not asked for an extension and they cannot logoff (by pressing the #).
Any ideas how can agents logoff?

Pause/UnpauseQueueMember
Hello all. Anybody around that is utilizing the PauseQueueMember and
UnpauseQueueMember applications? Or even the AddQueueMember and
RemoveQueueMember applications? I'm trying to set these applications up to
function in relation to the agent number, rather than the extension the
agent is at. I'm not having much luck. Anybody have any pointers or
suggestions on how to get these
