Digium TE205P and channelbank
Trying to find my feet here. If I wanted to connect Asterisk to a PRI and throw in a T1 Adtran channel bank into the mix for fax machines would the following work? Connect PRI line from telco to Port 1 on the Digium Wildcard TE205P. Connect Adtran TA-624-T1 to Post 2 on the Digium Wildcard TE205P also, would I need a crossover to the channelbank or is it a patch lead like the connection to the

Fax to Email with Asterisk and Lucent TNT
Hello, I have a Lucent MAX TNT, (DS-3, 672 modem ports, 28 PRIs). I'd like to be able to direct an inbound fax call into my TNT, have it answer the fax and send the image file over to Asterisk, or some other system to deliver to an e-mail address(s). I'm not sure if I need Asterisk to any of the call control or not. I'd also like to setup a print queue and have outbound

Woodpeckers Revisited
Just when I thought I couldn't be wrong, I was wrong. We have woodpeckers that drill into the arial telephone cables, and water seeps through the holes and partially grounds the tip and/or ring wires causing hum. I thought the hum/buz on my lines was a telco problem. The Qwest HQ noise team assures me that my lines are within spec. Sure enough, when I listen on the test set the lines

FXS Solutions for modems and other non jitter tolerant devices
In the past we have used Adtran Atlas 550's to break out FXS ports for devices like modems. The great thing about the 550 is that internally it is all TDM so there is absolutely zero latency. We are able to use ATA's for faxes and analog phones but devices that use modems, they fail 99.99% of the time when using an ATA. We tried to migrate to TA908 devices; they have FXS ports built

Dial-In/Out Modem Zap Channel Config. Adtran 750
I've been trying to get a Win 2000 RAS server working with my asterisk PBX for quite some time, to no avail. I've googled, I've tried loads of configurations, I've rewired phone lines, and still I am not winning the battle. Here's my config. PRI->T400P->Asterisk->T400P->Adtran 750(L36 Firmware)->RAS Server. I have 4 Zap channels signalled FXO_KS to the 750

ISDN Hardware
I have a test install set up as follows Grandstream 102 ---- Asterisk ---- X100P ---- Adtran Express 3000 --- ISDN line to PSTN Most things I want to do work fine except I do have some intermittent problems with an echo. I am assuming that this is created in the link between the X100P and the Adtran terminal adaptor. I am not sure of the proper terms but on the PSTN side of the Adtran there is

Hum/bux on line
Rich Hi, After Qwest pronounced my circuits as within spec. (yes, disconnected from the house) I listened on the lines with my butt set. Clear of all noise and hum. I then got my box of Cat3 and laid a circuit around the outside of the house and into my lab. Still clear of all noise and hum. I then connected the circuit to the Adtran and made a call. Lots of hum and buzzz. As I said,

Adtran TA750 Noise
All, I need help. I have an (actually 2) Adtran TA750's with 8 FXO ports. I get a terrible buzz on every FXO port. If I unplug the Adtran and put an analog phone on each incoming line, I have no buzz. I also have 2 Carrier Access Access Bank I's with 12 FXO ports. When I plug the same analog lines into either one of those, no noise or buzz whatsoever. I went so far as to move the TA750

COnfiguring an * system for a non-profit organization
Hi, Maybe someone has seen this before... I've installed a new T100P, but it doesn't seem to work. I've attached the T100P to an Adtran 750 using a crossover cable. The Adtran shows a red alarm on the T1 interface. The Adtran has been set to factory defaults with FXS cards in 1-3 and an FXO card in 5. The T100P shows no signs of life--the leds are not lit. Should I be seeing

Adtran supervision problems
I am sending a call down a E&M wink trunk to a adtran tsu600 channelbank. The extension is setup like so... exten=>799179,1,Dial(zap/g2,20,D(9179)) exten=>799179,2,Hangup() It should Dial the Adtran and send some DTMF signals to a telephone on an fxs module in the Adtran. Asterisk is seeing the call answered when the T-1 is picked up by the Adtran not when the ringing phone is answered.

NEWBIE looking for advice.
All, Thanks for taking time to read. I am wanting someone to tell me that I have a clue here and that the following proposed setup would (possibly) work. Currently existing are 4 pots lines with qty. 10 AT&T 954/854 phones. Would like to convert to asterisk and at the same time do a mild feature upgrade. Proposing to get: PIII 800MHz or better >=256MB RAM

\ Adtran Channel Bank? - Email found in subject
Jay, I have had a lot of trouble with the FXO ports on Adtran TA750. Unless the incoming POTS lines have a balance impedance, they will buzz very bad. Gregory P. T3 Mux and Asterisk Question
I have a T3 coming from my carrier. From there I want to use an Adtran mx2800 T1 Mux to break the T3 into 28 T1/PRI which feed into seven quad T1/PRI equipped servers. Everything seems very straight forward with the exception of the D channels for the T1/PRI. I am not very familiar with large circuits such as T3s. I know that I can use one D channel per set of quad port on each server. So if

Adtran TA 750 FXO Groundstart Mode
I am having a problem using the Adtran 750 FXO quad card with a Groundstart trunk line. I am able to receive calls on the trunk line, however dialing out is not working. The Adtran does not seem to be doing the signaling. Has anyone used the 750 FXO card in Groundstart mode? Any special configuration issues that I should be aware of? Problems dialing out with T100P and Adtran
I have a T100P card connected to an Adtran and then a T1. I have added the following configurations to Asterisk...but, when I dial 9 and then a local phone number, it bounces between the dial tone and silence and the *error* light on the Adtran blinks. zaptel.conf span=1,0,0,esf,b8zs fxsks=1-8 loadzone=us defaultzone=us zapata.conf [channels] context=from-sip signalling=fxs_ks

Zaptel DACS and FDL
I have the following configuration: CLEC -> T-1 -> Asterisk -> Adtran Channel Bank -> (analog) -> Nortel Don't complain that it's ugly. I've already done plenty of that. The CLEC manages their Adtran remotely and needs to be able to continue to do so. I assume they use FDL to do the management. We are using the Zaptel DACS/DACSRBS to cross connect some of the
