tons and tons of clients, oh my!
Hello gluster-verse! I'm about to see if GlusterFS can handle a large amount of clients, this was not at all in plans when we initially selected and setup our current configuration. What sort of experience do you (the collective "you" as in y'all) have with a large client to storage brick server ratio? (~1330:1) Where do you see things going awnry? Most of this will be reads

Tons of SNMP ?errors? in /var/log/messages
I'm running up-to-date CentOS 5 w/ Xen. I'm getting tons (tons = 13787 just yesterday, presumably because I have a monitoring system poll every 5 minutes) of log entries of the following: netsnmp_assert index == tmp failed if-mib/data_access/interface.c:467 _access_interface_entry_save_name() and netsnmp_assert rc == 0 failed if-mib/ifTable/ifTable_data_access.c:209

Rails 0.10.1: FCGI stability, WS generator, tons of fixes
This is the point release to tie up the various loose ends introduced with Rails 0.10.0. Action Web Service has seen the most interesting improvements feature-wise with a new generator and tie-ins with the testing setup. There''s better support for XML-RPC: Instead of performing type checking on the parameters the remote client sends, AWS does casting to try and make it compatible

Re: Tons of shiny new stuff (Tobias Luetke)
Tobias, I would have left a comment on your blog, a thanks really, except that the comment submit form is throwing an error. So, thanks for the cool tools, especially the login generator. After deleting the old generator the new one worked and passed all tests in a snap. Like Tim Lucas said, the Hieraki code base is a wonderful resource for someone learning Rails. Much appreciated.

BTRFS warnings on the tons-of-symlinks operations
These warnings occur in the process of creating lots of symlinks before system hangs (well, this time I was luckier and system didn''t hang..) I checked: when system hanged, it was always the same offset in the same function. I failed to get more good traces. I send the best I got. After lots of attempts I passed the usual hanging step.. With lots of warnings I already mentioned.

Tons of D3D improvements?!
In the latest release I counted at least 80 patches that improve wined3d in several different ways, which is absolutely awesome! But I'm wondering where this sudden interest in this specific part comes from (as well as all the sudden translation improvements)... Did the inclusion of WineD3D in other open source projects like VirtualBox suddenly spark some major interest in improving the D3D

Tons of "Failed to decrypt and verify packet"
Hi all, I tried Tinc 1.1 from git on 4 nodes, each one in a datacenter. They were able to ping each other, etc... but I had problem with multicast, nothing seemed to pass (all is OK with Tinc 1.0.23). I checked logs and on every nodes I have a lot of: Failed to decrypt and verify packet And Error while decrypting: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0) So I get back to 1.0.23 which works

Clients send tons of Notiftication requests
What is "conn log" in smb.conf?? I can not find it in manual of smb.conf (note, i used 4.12 its manual) I suggest, cleanup your config first. It might help. @Rowland, you know what "conn log" is? Or someone else.. Greetz, Louis > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: samba [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] Namens Luca > Marceglia via samba >

tons of dns errors in log.samba
Hi samba devs My samba AD DC has worked for several years. I upgrade it from 4.6 to 4.7 to 4.8 ....and now it's version is 4.12.10. My OS is centos7 and I use the sernet samba repo. Yesterday, I saw that my log.samba file was very large. tons of errors like: [2020/11/25 08:35:09.299194,? 1] ../../source4/dns_server/dns_query.c:1141(dns_server_process_query_got_auth) ?

IDMAP cache creating tons of mulex spins
Good morning, We have been noticing troubles browsing on a ZFS share, especially in the afternoon, and found our 8 cores going at 100% with over 100000 smtx running on each core on mpstat. We are running Solaris 5.11 with Samba 3.5.10, 48 GB of RAM and two 4 core Xeons. The fileserver is attached by domain mode to Windows 2003 R2 SP2 with Services for Unix installed and we only have around 80

Tons of shiny new stuff
Ok despite this crazy flu which got me last week i was able to get some coding done. Here goes: == Hieraki Hieraki got plenty of improvements next to the rails 0.10 update. The biggest new features are proper yaml, html and readme export. But there are also plenty of new code improvements like the switch to my favorite postback style for all controllers. Hieraki traditionally serves as a demo

tons of dovecot/config processes
Hi. I've noticed that dovecot (using 2.2.26.0 here) starts dovecot/config processes that stay for long time. Example: [root at ixion-pld ~]# service dovecot restart Stopping Dovecot service.......................................................................................................................................[ DONE ] Starting Dovecot

Clients send tons of Notiftication requests
I think I could not make myself understood. Since I could not connect with my samba share and the programs were looping or crashing, I decided to activate the logs on the samba server and set it to 3. I then started to see all these notification requests. So what I understand is that the clients are sending tons of these notification requests to the server. This was not happening before. I do not

Question about splitting AD and fileserving (and tons of other stuff)
Hello, I am wondering if this is preferred at this iteration in development. If so, what would be the best way to continue? To build a VM server and have that do file serving, then migrate file serving from the old ad, then join the new VM to the ad server? Vice versa? My reasoning; running sernet (Version 4.0.12-SerNet-Ubuntu-8.precise) with Ubuntu 12.0.2 and since deployment in three different
