ISDN config: LBO values
Hi all,
When configuring Asterisk with an ISDN card, it will at one point
become necessary to select the LBO (Line Build-Out) value. This is an
integer (0-7) that is determined by the length of the cable and is
selected from the following table. Many of us are familiar with it:
CSU (dB) DSX-1 (feet)

up with syncsrc=1
system.conf :

Zaptel Line Build Out
Can someone who is knowledgable in the traditional telco space please give me a
layman's explanation (or point me to an appropriate url) of LBO as per the
zaptel configuration file?

# 2: 266-399 feet (DSX-1)

Problems with pstn cards
Hi everybody,
I have a 1.6.0.5 asterisk system and I?m having many problems with my pstn
cards. This system has a Digium B410P with 4 BRIs configured, and an OpenVox
A400E.
The issue is that it?s impossible to make the system recognize the A400E,
despite the ?lspci? output is:
0a:00.0 Network controller: Tiger Jet Network Inc. Tiger3XX Modem/ISDN
interface
11:00.0 ISDN controller: Digium,

dahdi_scan doesn't recognize an OpenVox A400E
Hi everybody,
In an Asterisk 1.6.0.5, dahdi-linux-2.1.0.4, dahdi-tools-2.1.0.2, with a
Digium B410P and an OpenVox A400E, I can't make "dahdi_scan" to recognize
the OpenVox. This card was working correctly but suddenly stopped working
and I cannot make it work again. Both ?lspci? and ?dahdi_hardware? detect it
but ?dahdi_scan? not and I cannot use it.

Hello!
I am trying to configure my digium TE220 dual-span pci express card

HA8 cards and RED alarm
Hi,
I have 2 servers: one is running 2 B410P cards with 8 euroisdn lines
(mISDN) connected on it, everything runs fine.
I prepare a new server - HP 360 G8- with 2 HA8 cards each of them 1
module of 4 lines. Already had with this machine an RMA on both cards as
they was faulty and crashed the server.
What happends is that when I connect cables on the HA8 modules (those
cables are unpluged

what is the effect of high LBO settings?
I'm working on an Asterisk system with all of it's PRI ports configured with
the LBO setting at 5, like this:
span=3,0,5,esf,b8zs
As of yet, I am unwilling to change the LBO to 0 to where it probably should
be because the system is working and I'm not sure exactly what the LBO does.
I'm aware some changes were made to deal with low audio levels. Does anybody
know what audio

I`m with a problem in some E1 cards. The value of Bipolar Viol is too
big, and some times the link seems well, but isn`t work correctly, like
as if the link is down.
Normally, I use to stop asterisk, remove the modules from my card, use
modprove to set up they again, and start asterisk, and it come to work,
but in some times I have to reboot the server, and then the value of

TE410P hardware problems
TE410P card down.
I have three (3) TE410P in one machine running asterisk with SS7.
My problems started last week when one of my cards started switching to E1
every time after reboot. I set the following in dahdi.conf and that solve
the problem.
/etc/modprobe.d/
options wct4xxp t1e1override=0x00
Now all 4 ports on that card is down with Red Alarm. I tried rebooting the
machine and

Does somebody know why no load modules to FXS? I used zaptel-1.0.7
version driver.

Did you forget that FXS interfaces are configured with FXO signalling
and that FXO interfaces use FXS signalling?

Problem with wct4xxp - cannot make calls
Hi,
I'm having problems with a TE420P card, in which I cannot make calls
using spans 2 through 4.
After a couple of days of working correctly, spans 2, 3 and 4 start
failing (can not make calls). The system is configured to work with SS7.
After the ACM message goes out, immediately a REL message is returned.
I searched for error messages in /var/log/messages and could not find a
clue
