Digium B410P: misdn v1 or misdn v2 or dahdi + asterisk 1.6 ?
Hi, Until now I've been using my Digium B410P cards with misdn 1.0.x. I would like to upgrade my systems and am now wondering which is the "best" route to take: - use the latest release of misdn v1 - upgrade to the latest "stable" kernel and use the built-in misdn v2 - use misdn v2 as a seperate package (disable misdn in the kernel) - use dahdi's support for misdn

Kernel/Asterisk/DAHDI/Libpri version matrix?
I googled about a bit without success, so... Is there a version matrix available? Something that would say: for kernel version w, you can run up to version x of Asterisk, DAHDI version y, and libpri version z? For example, I have a bunch of remote hosts running kernel 2.6.26, Asterisk 11.6.0, and DAHDI 2.7.0.1. We experience occasional Asterisk crashes, so I'd like to get as up to date

DAHDI and B410P (BRI)
Hi all, I am having trouble setting the signalling method for the B410P using DAHDI. Asterisk complains that it has never heard of 'bri_cpe' or 'bri_net' - but it doesn't mind having 'pri_cpe' etc. ERROR[4294]: chan_dahdi.c:11327 process_dahdi: Unknown signalling method 'bri_net' Dahdi - dahdi-linux-complete-2.1.0.4+2.1.0.2 Asterisk - 1.4.23.1 Libpri - 1.4.9

Latest DAHDI/libpri/Asterisk 1.8 & 1x BRI port HFC based ISDN card?
Hi, I would appreciate some advice on the following: how does one use a single BRI port HFC chipset based ISDN cards with the latest DAHDI, libpri and Asterisk 1.8? For Asterisk 1.4 I would first install mISDN & mISDNuser and then build Asterisk 1.4. Now I noticed that Digium's HFC chipset based B410P is supported by the latest DAHDI & libpri but reading the source of the

Asterisk 10/1.6.1 and Dahdi/Libpri compatilities in BRI /PtmP
Hi, After an upgrade, I discovered yesterday strange things I would like to share here. Basically, I'me comparing platforms: The first one is a 2.6.26 (Debian Lenny) platform, with Asterisk 1.6.1.18, Libpri 1.4.10.2, Dahdi revision 8853 (must be between 2.3 and 2.5, I think). The second one is a 2.6.32 (Debian Squeeze) platform, with Asterisk 10.5.1, Libpri 1.4.12, Dahdi 2.6.1. Both are

E1 PRI configuration: DAHDI and LIBPRI
Hi All; I have an E1 card with two ports for ISDN PRI. Do I need to install DAHDI in addition to LIBPRI? For placing outside calls (outgoing) via the PRI, then in the extension.exe file, I will use the Dial function? But how can I determine that I need to use the PRI channels and not the analoge channels? Last point: how can I know that asterisk is containing libpri? In other words, how can I

Problem running Dahdi
Hi, I've been building a new Asterisk server to replace my previous one, all using the latest 1.4.x downloads from asterisk.org. I can't even get to the point where dahdi works. I have libpri, dahdi and dahdi-tools compiled and installed. I have no hardware on that new server, but I am installing Dahdi for timing source for meetme. Everything compiles seemingly well, but this is

Which dahdi/libpri combo for BRI/PtmP ?
Hi, I need to rebuild a system which has 4 BRI ports and is connected to Point-to-multiPoint lines, in a country where telco often "drop lines for energy savings". I'm planning to use latest 11.4.0 asterisk version along with dahdi and libpri (no misdn). Which version are recommended for Dahdi and Libpri ? My main requirements are, beside having calls coming in and out: - keep a

dahdi wcb4xxp and fax
Hi all, I wanted to switch from my current setup (mISDN) to the native dahdi with b410p support (wcb4xp). All works fine for normal phone calls but not for faxing. Faxes are distorted, if arriving at all, and hylafax logs the usual bad stuff (HDLC frame not byte-oriented.) Our setup uses a digium b410p card with asterisk 1.6, latest libpri and dahdi, hylafax with iaxmodem, and all this on 1

How to install and configure Dahdi from Debian Stretch repo ?
Hello, After all these years installing from source, I'm giving Dahdi package installation a try on a recent Stretch box. Google over the web, I didn't find too many doc on this topic. 1. Is this one [1] up-to-date ? Reading Stretch I would say a single asterisk-dahdi would be enough to install asterisk dahdi and libpri. 2. On my box, the following fails. What would you suggest ?
