Hardware IAX phone (please read and reply!)
Hello all!
I've talked recently to the head of R&D dept. of Telkom Telos
(www.telos.com.pl) - a big Polish company specialised in making
phones. I gave them the idea of creating a cheap (cost-effective)
hardware IP phone. The phone we discussed would include hardware
support for IAX (though probably SIP/sth. else would be required too
if it were to hit the market.. what do you

Icecast relay as a source to another icecast?
I have a situation where I'd like to be able to have icecast reach out to
another icecast server as a client. Is this possible with relaying? From
what I read relaying and master relaying both have the server reach out to
another server.
The reason is this.
I have a hardware encoder (Telos audioactive) sitting on a cablemodem.
I have a remote provider (streamcheap or something) set to

Incoming calls
Hello I have a question about incoming calls on TDM400P cards. I want to
know why an incoming call appear in a sorpresive way on a phone that I
pickup to call out. I am using ChanIsAvailable to check those lines ( Zap
channels )that are free. I have four lines connected to my TDM400P card and
when I get a free Zap channel to call I hear the voice of a people on the
other side from an incomming

icecast and hw streamer authentication
Since my last query went ignored let me try a different approach...
I've got a Telos hardware encoder that works under Shoutcast but gets
"authentication errors" when trying to use Icecast. Here's what I see when
trying to add the Telos as a relay:
[110:Connection Handler] Kicking source 107 [192.168.200.200] [Error in
request, relay refused entrance] [relay], connected for 0

[riscv] How do I use the RISC-V Vector extension instructions in LLVM IR?
Hi Everyone,
I am wondering how to use RISC-V V (Vector) extension instructions in
LLVM IR. In 2019 Kruppe and Espasa gave a talk [1] overviewing the
Vector extension and on slide 16 [2] they show LLVM IR samples which use
the vector instructions through intrinsic functions, such as:
%vl = call i32 @llvm.riscv.vsetvl(i32 %n)
At the time of the talk (April 2019) LLVM support for the V

any ISDN/PRI signaling experts out there?
I have officially engaged in a pissing contest with the local Telco over
PRI calling name delivery.
The telco publishes their calling name delivery over PRI feature as
being bellcore gr-1367-core compliant.
The gr-1367-core spec states that the calling name is to be included as
a facility IE in the setup message, or sent in a subsequent facility IE
message with an indicator in the setup message

All I want to do is stream...
Hi All -
First post, and something of an audio newbie, so please be gentle.
I'm cross-posting this to both icecast and vorbis, albeit in separate
emails.
I'll try to give as much detail as possible so this might get a bit
wordy.
I've been trying to get a live stream running for a local college
radio station. It's currently up on a Slackware system - but

[riscv] How do I use the RISC-V Vector extension instructions in LLVM IR?
Michael,
Apologies for taking so long to get back to you.
Trunk LLVM does not contain support for code generating the V extension yet. The experimental-v support you see there is only MC-layer support, where you can use the V instructions in assembly (including inline assembly). There is currently (today) no way of turning LLVM IR vector intrinsics into RISC-V V extension instructions.

VDQ : Have I made a wine's nest?
Very Dumb Question here -- basically, am I in trouble? Or in other words,
I have to ask myself a Falstaffian question: "Which .wine, Bezonian?"
Let me expound.
On several lists for different parts of the problem, according to their
interest and my best judgment, I've been pursuing the topic of GPS/topo
map settings, under Crossover Office Pro 5.0.1 (CXO) using Fedora Core 4,

streaming non-MP3 formats
Hi, I'm working on a project to add more audio formats
other than MP3 and Ogg that can be streamed by
Icecast. Yes, I mean streaming those formats, not
converting them to MP3. These formats I'd like to add
include PCM (.wav) and ADPCM (.adp). Although they are
much less advanced codecs compared to MP3, they have a
valid market for low-power clients.
I've been working on the source

CELT for DAB broadcast radio
Hi all,
Just a quick note to let you know that we are currently integrating CELT
with our DAB transmission and reception software tools. We plan to have a
working demo at the broadcast conference IBC 2009 in September where we have
a small booth. We hope to be able to demonstrate a real-time DAB CELT
encoder as part our our Live CD based on Ubuntu and GNU/Radio (

broadcast FM radio
Thanks for your answers Tim and Jaromil, there were useful
for my work.
But you don't understand what i really mean (sorry for my
english).
Here is exactly what i want to do:
I want to install on my PC (OS Linux) 2 or more FM-tuners.
These tuners will get existing FM stations programs.
Then, i want to broadcast these programs at the same time

box that supports icecast? rack-mount pro type stuff? we want to be able
to mount the stream it generates on a mountpoint of an icecast server.

Simple broadcasting of radio stream
Howdy, been using icecast for a couple years now, and am wanting to move
to the latest icecast and ices. I downloaded and compiled icecast-1.3.12
and ices-0.2.2 and they installed nicely. I got icecast to work alright
with liveice, but I would like to test ices. I have been mucking about
with the config file, but it keeps asking for a playlist. I simply want
to re-encode the radio audio stream
