eeebox and FreeBSD notes
for what it is worth, i have put some notes on using
FreeBSD on the EEE Box.
http://info.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/FreeBSD/eeebox.html
Most things work, the one big remaining issue is
configuring X11 so that it recognises non standard resolutions
e.g. 1680x1050 or similar using the "intel" driver.
feedback welcome
cheers

New admin, not much success
Hello,
I'm trying to set up something fairly simple (famous last words) using
Dovecot.
I have a very small setup (just a dozen users)
I'm using qmail as my MTA.
I'm running FreeBSD 8.0
I've got qmail delivering into a file named 'Mailbox' in user's home
directories.
I prefer not to use Maildir delivery because from a shell its a PITA to get
a Maildir aware MUA (I

USB dahdi fxo ?
I'm moving asterisk to a laptop, so can't use the dahdi board. Is there
any supported USB dahdi device ? I see the Sangoma USBfxo device, but
the dahdi driver no longer supports it. Anything else ?

ATA FXO
I'm looking for a reliable ATA FXO/FXS adapter.
Linksys 3102 - a lot of echo problem + two of them died within a year (not reliable)
Sangoma USBFXO - problem installing drive in Gentoo.
I've tried two Chines units: AG-188N and YGW30B
none are of them have real FXO port that will register with Asterisk.
Any other recommendations; (I don't like internal cards).

Using a composite device under Centos 4.8 - no mouse clicks
I recently got an EEEbox. This is an Atom based nettop. It came with
a wireless keyboard/mouse which talk to a 2.4Ghz USB adapter (a Chicony
device as it turns out).
Now if I plug this adapter into a Centos 4.8 machine both the keyboard
and mouse are detected... but mouse clicks aren't. I can move the mouse,
the scroll wheel works, but buttons 1/2/3 aren't detected. Neither in X

[Asus Eee PC 900] as replacement for legacy BRI phone
Hello,
I own one of these netbooks Asus Eee PC 900, mine is running FreeBSD 7.0, and a
Linux based cellphone, the OpenMoko Freerunner.
Since some time I'm thinking in a replacement of my 'normal' BRI phone
at home and the two items mentioned above let me think that the
replacement should be UNIX based as well. The legacy BRI phone, around
ten years old, even has more or less the same

Configuring chan_dahdi.conf for Sangoma A200/Remora FXO/FXS Analog AFT card
Hi I have been having a rough time getting a Sangoma A200/Remora FXO/
FXS Analog AFT card set up properly.
The main issue is that the card has four ports and as far as I can
tell Asterisk is only seeing two. On the two that it recognizes the
"Green" FXS ports are not green, they just are not lit. The "RED" FXO
ports are indeed red, but from what I have read your not

Help with SUSE 10.2 and Sangoma A104D
Hi all, as good?
I try to install asterisk-1.2.14, zaptel-1.2.12,libpri-1.2.4,addons-1.2.5 ,
sounds-1.2.1 and wanpipe-2.3.4-3 and hwec-utils-beta4-2.3.4
But it is not compiling drivers of the Sangoma, why udev's for board in
"/dev/zap"(1-31, channel, ctl, pseudo, timer) is not created. But when I
install a board TE110P Digium, udev's is created and asterisk functions
perfectly. : )

FXS
What is the easiest way to connect my "black phone" to a PC running
asterisk?
I don't need multiple extensions, I've got just 1 phone. Is there any USB
FXS adapter?
Thanks

Hi all,
I have tried to install Wanpipe 7.0.20 in a fresh-installed Debian 8.5

Hello,
there has been a post to this list somewhere arount april which said
that it is possible to use a Sangoma BRI A500 card with zaptel and
asterisk bristuff. That is, without sangoma_brid and sangoma_mgd daemons

Could anybody give me a short hint how to configure this?
