register suddenly fails
Hi everybody, I've got a very strange problem: As far as I remember I didn't change anything on my Asterisk side. I have 2 SIP providers to which I can place outbound calls. Today I noticed that outbound calls to provider "inode" fail (and inbound from this provider too). On the CLI I get every 20 seconds following messages: Nov 9 20:01:07 NOTICE[952]: chan_sip.c:5422

chan_sip.c:5262 sip_reg_timeout Probably a DNS error for registration
Hello, I have a problem with an LAN-Server behind an NAT-router. Asterisk Version 1.2.1 or 1.2.2 doesnt matter 10 minutes after starting Asterisk I loose all registrations at external SIP-proxys. The reason seemed to be that Asterisk send every second an request to every sip-proxy "Request: OPTIONS sip:sip.domain.tld". Every request is responded by the sip-proxy. After some minutes

Peer unreachable after IP change
Hi list! Another day, another problem... I'm checking with Nagios my Asterisk at home, and since yesterday I noticed that, after my IP changes (Deutsche Telekom drop the DSL-line every 24 hours, so that I have a new IP every day), the peer of an VoIP-provider I use is UNREACHABLE. Yesterday I though it was a problem on the line, but today is the same, so I think it is something other...

Can anyone tell me why my inbound calls keep getting rejected with 401? SIP configuration issues
Apologies if this is a repeat: I trawled through the archives and couldn't find a reasonable answer, so I'm asking here. I have an Asterisk install connecting from behind a NAT device (DSL modem) to a SIP proxy (in my case, Broadvoice). I have an sjphone softphone on a Windows PC also behind the NAT device that connects to the Asterisk install, and using this setup I've been pretty

Testing a sip call through Asterisk?
I'm looking to find a test tool that will register with our Asterisk (Trixbox) server here at work and place an outgoing call via our main SIP trunk (BroadVoice) to confirm that things are working. I've looked around but I can't seem to find any tools that will do what I'm looking for. I can't just monitor the status of the trunk inside Asterisk, as this is the normal status:

SIP registration timeout
Hi all, I am using * as a PBX for a Broadvoice VoIP account. It had been working well since about last November, although not perfectly (similar disconnection problems, although I am pretty sure it had to do with my PPPoE setup, but I think these issues were resolved). As of a few weeks ago, though, I started having serious problems. Basically, I can start up * and connect to Broadvoice and

broadvoice connection problem
All, I signed up for a broadvoice BYOD plan over the weekend (very excited about their offering) and after about an hour I had asterisk registered and was making in and out bound calls. However, the next day (without changing anything) I couldn't call in or out and haven't been able to get it going again. I can connect using a softphone (X-Lite) and make calls in and out

using round-robin dns for sip registrations
I finally decided to get a little source code dirt under my fingernails tonight and dig through chan_sip.c to understand how registrations are currently implemented. The hope is to perhaps at least seed some ideas about how to make registrations to a server name, which resolves to multiple IPs, either attempt each IP in the order they're returned by dns, or, simply attempt to register with

After upgrading to a Club 3D Radeon 5770 overclocked edition i was finally able to get some good fps out of wow... 90 => 110 FPS in Stanglethorn Vale with all the graphics option to their lowest setting possible. However last night the game installed patch 3.3.0 => 3.3.2.... Afer doing that upgrade the game actually runs at about 60 FPS now if i am lucky.... Mostly when i walk around the

WoW error "failed to find a suitable display device.."
Let me preface this post by saying I'm very new to Linux (Ubuntu 10.04) and thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm currently running Ubuntu 10.04 64bit, wine 1.3.2 and 2 ati 5770 cards in crossfire. I've upgraded the video drivers to the latest 10.8 version found on amd.ati.com When I try to run wow.exe I get the message "failed to find a suitable display device"

Problems with compiz, fglrx, and City of Heroes
I just upgraded my video card from an 8800GT to a Radeon HD 5770. I've got the proprietary 'fglrx' driver installed. I am using Compiz/Emerald as my window manager and compositor, with the desktop cube enabled. When I launch City of Heroes full-screen and then try to rotate the cube via hotkey the cube rotates to a new face and immediately repaints City of Heroes over the top of it.
