Ventrilo 2.1.4 under wine - push to talk.
Ventrilo in version 2.1.4 work properly good under wine. I talk with friend without any problems with sound, but there is one with "Push-to-talk" function (hotkey). When frame with ventrilo have lost focus i can't use this function. I spent a lot of time to googled about it and I found program called xbindkeys. I got idea, that I can use this program to send keystroke to ventrilo.

Wine Virtual Desktop Question
I've got Lord of the Rings Online working under wine, but the only problem is, it has to be played in full-screen, or else i get a "Must be ran in 16-bit / 32-bit color mode". Running it full-screen via virtual desktop would be no problem, however, when done, i cannot use wine to start Ventrilo. When i start ventrilo via wine after i start up LotRO, it starts in the same window as

thunderbird & firefox
I *really* dislike the new photon UI. I WANT the arrow buttons top and
bottom of the scrollbars.
Does anyone know how to bring them back, or is that "that's *sooo* last
year, you can't ever have them again"?

Ubuntu 10.04 + Wine minimizing trouble.
Hello, when I run a fullscreen app through WINE such as WoW and I ctrl-alt-d to do something on the desktop then try to go back to the game my WINE window is no longer full screen, it shows up in the middle of the desktop at about 1/2 the size of the screen. Before the new Ubuntu update all I had to do was switch workspaces and switch back, but now that isn't working.
Any ideas?

odd issue with IP tables
I put iptables on my asterisk box and an odd thing occurs. I allow 5060 and
10000-20000. As soon as I start iptables and make a call it literally takes
60-90 seconds before the call even starts to ring. As soon as I shut
iptables off, the call goes through immediately again. Its quite odd. The
call does eventually go through and talks fine but it takes sooo long to
connect. Anyone have some

Instructions for clean Install of Wine, EVE, and Ventrilo
I built this box and was looking forward to running eve on it. 2 weeks later CCP dropped support for Linux and I haven't been able to get a decent install yet. I found some instructions last night that let me run eve in safe mode, but if I tried adding Vent, it would crash. Also, I can't get Vent to run either.
Can somebody post a straight forward install so I can run this game as

Ventrilo crashing - not sound problem.
I am running Ventrilo client 3.0.4 through WINE 1.1.15 (built in wine git to use WoW stability patch).
Sound works fine, program starts and I can hear everyone and they can hear me. Then at random intervals Ventrilo either stops working (incoming and outgoing sound no longer happens) or crashes to desktop. This can happen at any point with no warning and no error messages in the terminal.

AR(2) modelling
Hi useRs,
I'm trying to fit a basic AR(2) model with the 'ar' function. And when
I try to check the value of the coefficients, I could not find the
same value as the 'ar' function.
Here is my example:
myserie <- c(212, 205, 210, 213, 217, 222, 216, 218, 220, 212, 215, 236)
#plot(myserie, type="l")
myserieminus0 <- tail(myserie, -2)

Need help with WineBottler
Yo fellas!
I'm having some problems with WineBottler.
I'm trying to connect to a ventrilo server with a gsm codec (I think) which isn't supported on mac os. A friend who is on the same server uses regular wine and it works for him, but are there any way to make it work with WineBottler as well? Or should I just do it the "hard" wy and install Wine? Couldn't find XCode

Prompt recording
Does anybody have useful tips on creating good quality recordings for
use with prompts in asterisk? I'm interested in hearing input on
hardware (mics, dats, sound cards, etc) and software (recording
software, dsp) as well as recording techniques.

render .rhtmlx if present, otherwise render .rhtml
We have a product where our customer is "allowed" to make minor changes
to the .rhtml views.
Obviously, this can be an issue when updating the software, as changes
need to be merged in. Also, sometimes the customer wants to back out
there change but no longer has the original file.
SOOO....
I''d like to tell them
- if you want to change a .rhtml file
- just copy it to

Assertion failure in journal_bmap() at journal.c:636: "ret != 0"
A scsi error (caused possibly by a loose cable) has left the processes
accessing my ext3 file system hung in an unkillable state after it
triggered an assert in ext3's journaling layer. I assume my only
recourse at this point is to reboot. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Log messages appended.
Thanks,

problem with centos 5.3 upgrade
Hi All,
I'm running CentOS 5.3 x86, and recently my yum update isn't running as
it should.
It pops up with sub conflict messages for i386 packages, which I don't
need - even though yum is downloading them.
Due to this sub conflict messages, I'm not able to update/install my x86
packages, as the installation stops at the error message.
Anybody, any idea how to come over
