Asterisk as Front-End for Artisoft Televantage 6
Anyone had experience 'marrying' the two? We had setup * to front end Artisoft's Televantage. It works with some issues need to be resolved: - Inbound calls could not properly handled and routed by Televantage's Call Classifier. It goes directly to the Televantage's default auto attendant. Correct digits not being passed by * to Televantege? - The caller's Caller ID does

TeleVantage client on Wine
I am attempting to install the TeleVantage Client into wine. I have compiled Wine-20041019 from source. Upon running the installer, I get way too many errors: alexander@reservations:~$ wine .wine/drive_c/AppsPatches/netsetup/setup.exe fixme:msi:MsiGetProductInfoA "{8715D03E-39E4-4260-BB83-C63CA64D7660}"

Televantage 4
Hello, I'm not sure if anyone can help, but I figured I'd ask anyway. I am attempting to run the Televantage 4 Client under Wine 20041019 with WineTools 2.1.2. It installs fine, but it does not run. If I make Wine emulate win98, I get this error: fixme:vxd:VXD_Open Unknown/unsupported VxD L"secprov.vxd". Try setting Windows version to 'nt40' or 'win31'.

TE110P - Asterisk@Home Install Problems - Televantage 3 T1
I figured it out. The old system (Televantage 3 and 4 I think) has limited specifications on the T1. After setting up the system, I was able to send and recieve calls. I still have some work to do like figuring out faxing and a floating receptionist, but this is a nice start. ----------------------------------------------------Televantage T1 Requirements: Framing: D4 Superframe or Extended

TeleVantage Client 8
Hello. I am trying to run TeleVantage Client 8.00.5556 on Wine but it doesn't work all the way. I have done the following, after some tips here and there: Wine 1.2 under Ubuntu 10.04 in a VMware Player as I am testing. OS version set to Windows 7 Server is running on Windows 2003 on the LAN workgroup and has windows clients today (something I had hoped to change) Client installed through

Call monitor/barge/train
Hi, I'm planning on migrating someone who uses a very mature system. They would be logging in either as AgentLogin() or AQM. The main requirement however, is: The supervisor will have a control panel, where he will see how many of his agents are on call. If they are, he can "right-click" on the agent and get the options Call Monitor (where the super just listens in on the call,

Monitor Application with Queued calls
Due to management concerns our asterisk system has been setup to record all phone calls for some time now (before the 1.0 release). Everything was working fine until we upgraded 1.0.5 where all calls are recorded except those that pass through a queue (we are not using the queue record functionality because there are some minor issues with using it in our scenario). Specifically, the

Inbound call handling in Asterisk
I'm new to asterisk but I've been managing an Artisoft Televantage server for about 2 years. My question is, does Asterisk has the capability to 'classify calls' based on the dialed number? This is called 'Call Classifier' in Televantage jargon wherein it lets call center agents identify callers, the company they are calling, intelligently route calls and prepare call

Can you monitor a call via the asterisk speaker system and do a call pickup if you wish
Reason. I have a fax/ans phone with handset, that lets you monitor the caller, so if you wish, you can pickup the call. The asterisk is undergoing testing, it will then be online tested at the house so I can get more familiar in setting components up, e.g. sip phones, voicemail, transfers etc. But, I really need the monitoring of the Voicemall being left, with the ability to pick up the

Having problems with Agents and calls going to voicemail
I am having problems with a call queue setup where voicemail seems to be getting in the way. Here's what I've found: When I have 2 users logged in as Agents (using AgentCallbackLogin) they will both ring when a new call comes in. If, for instance, one of the users makes an outgoing call and a new call comes in, the caller will get sent directly to that agents busy voicemail message. It

Remote Agents
Hi, First a little background: the company that I work at have currently been using a Windows-based PBX solution called Televantage. We are primarily a linux-based development shop but originally went with Televantage on the recomendation of someone who no longer works with us. Suffice to say, we have not been happy with that solution and I have been investigating Asterisk as a replacement to

Calls directed via queue to unavailable device result in call acceptance
When working with call queues, if an agent is logged in via AgentCallbackLogin and the extension they are registered at becomes "unavailable" (from a bad connection, or something of the like), calls routed to that extension seemed to be accepted by it, so if the next action for that extension is to go to voicemail, the caller in the queue is sent to the extensions voicemail. Even worse,

Strange dots on monitor
I forgot to write that the dots start to appear only inside "Desktop Environment" (in my case Gnome), not for example in grub/bios. Today I tried to install ubuntu 16.04 and the green dots appeared there too (in Unity). Call queue problem
Hi all, We have an 8 agent support desk setup with 2 call queues running Asterisk 1.4.5. Every so often agents will receive a call from the queue that only rings once not allowing them time to answer. The call doesn't seem to be dropped, just seems to go to voicemail. The agents are also mentioning they do not receive the 30 second wrapuptime I have specified in queues.conf. We're

Attatch monitor recording to a voicemail
Hello All, Our old Lucent Argent system had a feature whereby when you initiate recording during a call, it would afterwards send the recording as a voicemail message to the user who initiated the recording. We use the automon *1 recording function in asterisk, which allows users to record a call if necessary on the fly. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be an easy way for the user to

Colin, Thanks for your assistance. Reading over your advice I seem to still be a bit confused. My agents are not on the Asterisk server; it appears in your advice that my the call will travel this path: WWW interface --> agent enters their DID, platform to use, and termination DID --> AST calls agent --> Agent calls termination DID If my agents are not on the Asterisk server

Legacy Toshiba Phones
I found some postings from Google (notably from Mark Spencer) about successful integration of a legacy Toshiba Strata system and Asterisk. I am also facing that current dilemma. The general legacy solutions that I can come up with is very easy -- either making Asterisk a "proxy" (or frontdoor) to the Toshiba system, or have it operate behind the Toshiba via regular extensions. I'm

Call Queue Question
Hi, I've been fussing with this for a while now - and cannot seem to get it to work correctly - or rather as I desire it.. I'm trying to implement a 'find-me' feature in my voicemail. Basically - pressing 1 at the voicemail puts the caller into a queue. The members of the queue are my cell phone and my work DID.. I need the queue to call both numbers at the same time and wait
